Question for anyone. it's a beer conversation were having. if a player gets a red card during a game which shouldn't of been red they can get it over turned. so why carnt a yellow card be over turned if it shouldn't of been yellow.

Simply because they are seen as less important. I appreciate yellow's can be important in certain scenarios, but I imagine it would get too messy with yellow's being subjective. Has he made 3-4 bad tackles leading up to it so the actual card was given for multiple fouls or intent that maybe the cameras haven't picked up, was he warned not to do X and did it, which wouldn't be a yellow as a one off for a neutral judge but in a wider context it is.
A ref needs to have some power and without watching the whole game thoroughly and knowing what has been said/ warnings given you can't tell if something was a yellow or not. Obviously there are exceptions, but a straight red card is sufficient to judge as it must have been severe to get sent off. Just my opinion.
