Shappy,
I agree that they are areas that's need improvement. CB and Cm. Rooney for me doesn't cut it. Ofcourse if we play 3 midfield with schneiderlin and Herrera. Plus we need another midfielder. And CB.

And of course they are no Manager who gets 100% out of all his players. But LVG only manage to improve 2 players. Out of 25 man squad that is unacceptable. If he manage to improve more than 60% of players, that would count as success. Its definition of good and successful Manager.
Plus people talk about big marquee players, but LVG's way of treating everyone like kids wouldn't work with big players (marquee) . Most of them already have big egos.

Another year of his management is big alarm for all of supporters.

Regardless of if we are on top 4 or not, this season is total failure from managers part. I can't imagine amount of dirts tht will come out of players after he leaves. 2 season is more than enough for any managers to prove how big their balls are (literally) . What possibly can u expect differently next season, plus rest of clubs will try and improve.
He doesn't even know his best eleven, let alone his best formation after being with the club for almost 2 years. Why does Rooney and fellaini deserve the special treatments. What does player like Schneiderlin and Herrera has to do?

So regardless of buying marquee players, if he can't get the best out atleast half of his players. I guarantee it's going to be the same shite next year. It's like doing the same shit again and again but expecting a different result. Isn't that a definition of insanity!
Couple of new marquee players wouldn't do jack shit. Let alone contender for premier league tittles next year.

Playing with strength of individual players as team and working tactic and formation around it is the reason Leicester are doing well.

I totally agree, LvG has failed out on the pitch. I can't tell you if he has failed off the pitch as we don't know the critera or his results.

But he has failed to get the best out of his players, he has failed to get the results and he has failed to entertain the fans.

For that failure he deserves to lose his job, and I fully expect him to be. I was merely pointing out that there are clear weaknesses within our squad and regardless who is manager they will need to be adressed. If they aren't then we will continue to fall further behind and will require more to catch up.

LvG may have failed to get the best out of this squad, but if he hadn't made the signing he has then how much further would the next manager have to catch up?

Many of the failures in the squad are his doing.

I agree with all of that. Never seen a bunch of players look so disjointed. the entire team is dependant on Martial beating 2 or 3 guys and producing something either a goal or an assist. The rest just run around passing it every which way but really lacks any cohesion or form.

With 2 sitting mid our defending is also shambolic at times and I honestly think his philosophy of how the game is to be played has failed us. The crowd look like they are there watching a Test cricket match rather than a football game.

X Files the issue for me is that we don't seem to have those finer one twos or triangles worked out to attack, where break open the defense with movement and pull defenders out of their positions.

This is certainly by design since LVG likes the team to be rigid and requires players to never leave their area. This leads to pointless possession and its no surprise to me that we have hence struggled to open up teams that sit back and defend.

It was almost baffling yesterday to see so many crosses. None of our attackers was ever going to beat Morgan or Huth to a header.
