Our manager is now trying to pull a reporter's hair in an attempt to defend a player who has repeatedly used his elbows aggressively against numerous players. High point of the season.

So have people been pulling his hair for the last 8 seasons? Because he has been consistently elbowing people since he joined Everton. I get that there was some pretext today. But the truth is that he should have been cited for it long before today.
I don't see why we should stick up for a player who is persistently dangerous with his elbows. It doesn't add anything to his game, and it's simply being a thug. Cite Huth for pulling his hair by all means, but it's obvious which offence is worse.

Awful response from the manager yet again. By all means point out that Huth was in the wrong as well - but his comments suggest that Fellaini was right to swing an elbow in response.
A fantastic message for young players and fans alike!
We've seen this kind of behavior time and time again from Fellaini and whilst he may have been provoked this time (not that that vindicates his actions) there have been countless times this season when he hasn't. Do we have to wait for him to cause a serious injury before putting a stop to his thugish behavior?
Even ignoring his ineptitude on the pitch; he should not be playing for Manchester United. That kind of behavior wouldn't be tolerated in a boxing ring - let alone on a football pitch.
Fingers crossed he is banned for the rest of the season and sold in the summer.
{Ed004's Note - I agree he should be punished by the fa but I also think Huth should be as well but no doubt in my mind he won't be. I also think he should be sold on at the end of the season and am I the only one that was hoping to see a midfield 3 of Carrick, Herrera and Schneiderlin introduced after half time}

Quite frankly, Ed004, I couldn't give a damn what happens to Huth. My issue is with Fellaini swinging his elbows yet again and the manager describing it as 'a normal reaction'.
I'd love to see Morgan and Ander given more game time and in the long run I think they will make up 2 of our midfield 3 - but under LVG neither player has played anywhere near the level that they are capable of.
All this talk of us bringing in a new striker going on at the moment seems to ignore the fact that we're playing some truly atrocious football. We could sign the best striker in the world (Aguero/ Suarez/ Mess/ Ronaldo/ Neymar) and I'm not convinced they would score goals in our team. The same goes with our midfield. It doesn't matter who we play - because as long as we persist with LVGs 'philosophy' - it doesn't really make a difference.
{Ed004's Note - I think Fellaini will be gone this summer regardless. Lingard had a good game today but I think we badly need a right winger to offer us a threat from the right side. Teams just have to double up on martial and we have very little left to offer. Shaw and Martial will be devastating next season with Memphis covering and Lingard should cover someone supported by Darmian or Mensah}

Agree don't Fellaini but Huth commits the first foul then Fellaini reacts, on this occasion I will stick up for our player at our club .
I will also stick up for Memphis he came on and showed a threat that was a pen all day long the lad has a future, he will be better next season.

I think herrera could be on his way . good player but never really done it in a united shirt a bit like kags . not sure he has really got to grips with the epl.

After today's result with southampton maybe Mane will be linked again. Agree that we definately need a quick tricky right winger. Silva at Monaco? Looks a good player too.
