Who would want Higuain to come in? . He is looking for a move and is at a good age.

Do you guys think he will do well at our club? .

Agree2 Disagree11

We don't need any CF to come in as it may hinder the progress of martial and Rashford. We also have rooney who can play there.

The club needs to focus on the positions that are needed. CB, CM and RW.

Martial and Rashford are too young to rely upon for the whole season. Even if a top striker comes in both of those players will still get a lot of games to play.

I'd still take him.

Really good striker. I know what you're saying Angel, about possibly hampering the two young lads, but Rashford won't be playing as regularly next season, or we'll end up burning him out, and I like Martial on the left.

Higuain as the number one striker, with Marcus playing the odd game here and there and learning from a top player like Higuain, with Martial going central if needed, would suit me fine.

Rooney would be another option up top, if needed, but as he gets older and drops further back positionally, it hopefully won't come to that. Hopefully we'll be playing a few more games next season, and they'll all be needed at some point or another.

In bra would be good for a season, maybe two. However his extortionate wage demands may well see any plans to sign him put on the back burner.

It's unfair for Rashfrod and Martial to shoulder the responsibility of scoring the goals. We need players who can provide for these two, without hindering their progress.

LVG deserves some credit. He may not be the flavour among fans, but he may yet set up a team for the future.

Mourinho may be everyone's number one choice, can he, will he bring on these youngsters. He may decide that we need to buy top quality players and not give the youth a chance.

Ultimately we need to push on and stop making mistakes in the transfer windows. We need to sort out our team once and for all.

Never mind a season or two mad hatter, I don't want footballers in bras for even a game mate :P.

29 Apr 2016 18:19:35
I'd take him, but for the fee they are asking I think we should stay away.

I wouldn't mind going into next season without buying a striker. We need a right sided winger, a central midfielder or 2 and a center back far more than a striker.

29 Apr 2016 18:57:47
We need a striker for sure come this summer as we are very light in that area. Higuain is a quality striker IMO.

29 Apr 2016 19:13:03
Martial Rashford and rooney can all play up top. If we were to buy a fourth striker I'd only want one as back up to Rashford/ martial.

If Rashford was unavailable for whatever reason I'd put martial in the CF position. We buy another RW then we have plenty of options.

In buying a higuain, Ibra etc. Theyd expect to play week in week out. That is not what we need IMO. There are other pressing areas that we need to adress.

We, at this moment in time have 3 options to play the CF position. Adding a fourth of the higuain ilk will only hamper the young lads progress.

Higuaín and Benzema never seem to play well when I watch them. I haven't watched as much of the two of them as I used to, but I think they are both over rated. If we don't sell Rooney then I would be happy to keep Rashford, Rooney and Martial as our major options. Ultimately if we sign a top class striker it means Rooney drops deeper which is pointless, it also stifles the youngsters as suggested. Depay will also never get a game and we all hope he comes good (doubt he will) .

Whatever happens it's a big mess at the minute, if a new manager comes in he needs to decide on being patient with youth or buying ready made talent - I fear you can't have both anymore, youth will rot if not managed and played regularly and competition is so intense that risking youth players over expensive signings isn't viable (justifiable to board) . LVG wouldn't have done this had he not had to, a better manager won't hamper themselves how LVG has.

Whoever comes in I hope they strengthen the CB and RW positions and builds an identity. Signing players that fit their role perfectly, not versatility which again means a lack of playing time for youngsters and second class players constantly "filling in". No more Mata RW, Rooney in midfield, Blind at CB (although done well) .

Fosu, Rashford given plenty of games. No more Lingard next season, or Valencia at RB, or Rojo anywhere near the team. Too many 7/ 10 players is our problem, whether young ones, old or expensive. Young players will only improve with games, old players will only be happy with games. Mess is being left for the next manager despite what some people say, the foundations are nowhere to be seen, we just have bits of good material scattered about with too much of one thing and not enough of another.

Overlooking the CF position again this summer would be a huge mistake in my eyes. I think we're crying out for another top CF. rashford and martial are so young you cannot expect 25 to 30 goals from them yet. They will have poor patches of form etc being young and inexperienced, and Rooney doesn't cut it up top these days. I'd say a cf is a necessity and won't hinder either rashford or martial at all.

29 this year and will want massive money. Also he's not very mobile, he's all wrong for us.

29 Apr 2016 20:54:26
To be honest stand. I'd rather see Rashford or martial up top than someone else come in. Whatever there age, they both seems to be the business. If we play the attractive football we are capable of next year, I wouldn't see any problem for marital or Rashford to score 20+ goals. Maybe I'm being naive but given the right service either would do very well.

I'd much rather see us strengthen the other areas.

29 Apr 2016 22:07:30
I wouldn't want higuain on a free don't rate him remember who awful he was in the World Cup slow and static.

29 Apr 2016 23:12:12
What would we need Higuain for when we have Ashley Young!

Seriously though, I agree with those who don't want him. I think he would be as successful in the EPL as Falcao (anybody remember him? - smashing bit of opportunism by Chelsea) . Another striker would be great - I'd rather have Vardy - but we have more important fish to fry in midfield and defence.

30 Apr 2016 09:25:53
I think mr Portuguese will play rashford as a winger. he's the perfect winger for him, has speed, has a trick or two, tracks back, works his socks off. Martial, wilson and a marquee striker in the form of icardi, moratta or lukaku and we'll be cruising in the goals dept.

30 Apr 2016 13:42:52
He reminds me in a lot of ways of RVN. Rather than pace he relies on his positioning and finishing.

I'd personally rather we moved for somebody with pace that can interchange with our other forward thinking players but would not be disappointed if we signed him. After all - he is a player that has banged in 162 goals in 246 league appearances over the past 8 seasons (made all the more impressive when you consider that 44 of those appearances were as a substitute) .

With the right players around him I think he'd give us at least 20 goals a season for 3-4 years (his average over the past 8 seasons is over 24 and average over the past 3 is over 28).

30 Apr 2016 17:04:34
Griezmann or Mahrez would be perfect even shaqiri could add the sort of quility we are looking for this talk of a main striker like Ibra or higuian are not going to be as needed as a fast creative right winger who could complement the undoubted talent of Rashford and Martial I would like to see how wayne works a bit deeper making long passes out wide to Martial and Griezmann or Mahrez add a cb and we would be lethal who ever the coach.

30 Apr 2016 17:11:34
On think it will be silly not to buy another striker. Higuain is a superb player and not unlike Aguerro and he's done OK in our league!
I think Kane is the player I go for as he offers something different. Failing that, Lacazzette will be my choice as he's scoring freely and could be bought for a relatively reasonable price.
