Nothing to do with United but well played to the Liverpool fans who walked out there last game in the 77th minute in protest, the board have made a u turn apparently, they are no longer going to charge £77 per ticket.
Fan power still works 👍.

Thing we need to realise is that it is to do with United and every other club in the league. Ticket sales are ultimately a minor component of modern EPL club's revenue, and most clubs are more than capable of actually reducing costs with neglible impacts on profits. Clubs that raise costs are directly exploiting fans and Liverpool's victory is a win for every supporter demanding a reasonable cost for seeing their team.

To be honest the clubs are run to make a profit in most cases. So the likelihood of a club just choosing to cut back a revenue stream is highly unlikely.

I feel that an outside force needs to be used in order to bring the financial cost of going to games back under control.

The Premier league could easily insert a clause in the distribution of TV money linked to ticket prices. Something like average ticket prices need to be below £30 in order to get your full share of the TV money.

That way it makes it financially benificial for the clubs to charge a fair price to see the games. While also insuring that we have full stadiums which protects the product of the EPL. Empty stadiums on TV will be damaging to the image of english football and could well impact the value of the next TV deal.

If German teams can do it and succeed then so can the prem teams Shappy.

It's pure greed and the people in charge are parasites.

At the end of the day - it's a business and it makes sense for them to charge as much as people are willing to pay. Luckily for Liverpool fans; there isn't enough demand to cover the gaps that would be left around the stadium were top-tier prices to go up to £77. Were it a bigger club; the board would most likely have stuck with it!

Even with their dinky little stadium they still only manage 97% turnout. In spite of our awful performances at home and having the largest stadium in the league we've managed 99.5% turnout this year (the highest in the league) .

I think the devil is in the detail regarding the lower prices. They wouldn't try and raise revenue for no reason. Ultimately it means less money available for players I would imagine which is ok by us.

It's hard for me too say well done to their fans but I have to admit I admire what they have achieved by making their feelings known in the way they did. Beats Wearing green and gold scarfs for instance.
