To the Ed's or fellow posters,

My uncle is terminally ill with motor neurone disease and has been a massive United fan all his life. I was just wondering if there's anything that the club would do in regards to this? It's just a stab in the dark but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Damon sorry to hear about your father, I wish him the best. Your best option is to write a letter to the club and see what happens.

Damon

My deepest sympathy for your Uncles situation. A friend of mine was in a similar situation and wrote to the club and asked whether the person could attend one last game, they gave them two free tickets in the disabled area so the able person could accompany the person to their final game.

I hope he is able to make the most of his remaining time and I appreciate it must be difficult right now.

Sorry to hear about your uncle mate.

As Weggy mentioned, you should write to the club. They have a very good disabled section; and the staff are great. My friend often takes his disabled son to United, and he speaks highly of the staff and the treatment he receives.

I wish your uncle all the best.

Take care mate.

Thanks very much lads for your response and good words.

It's my mothers brother so I will have a chat with her and get a letter sorted and sent to the club. My uncle has been going to watch United since a child and is 51 now and is obsessed with them just like myself. He is still able to walk and ride a bike however his speech is almost gone and his physical condition is deteriorating rapidly so better to do something about it now while we still can.

Cheers again guys, top blokes.

All I can do is repeat the same as everyone else mate, write a letter to the club.
Please pass on my best wishes to him.

All the best to your uncle mate.

Terrible to hear. Best wishes I hope the club can do something for a die hard fan. It's the least they could do.
