I think this is very scary. Pep now officially gone and United appearing to do nothing about the damage being done by LvG. Not my choice but it seems if we don't go for Mourinho, we have very few options.

A guy called Hubris N. Memories. Because we think we are better than the results show and our on pitch success will be from five years ago.

I think we will see Mourinho come in. The board clearly don't fully back LVG as seen by the lack of activity this month. I also think Chelsea's next manager will be Sampaoli - It'll be a very interesting year. Of course, who says Pep will be a success? Will his tactics work in this league and will he get all the players he wants?

Bad news, but better for all involved to get it now. I do think Pep will get the players he wants. For the moment, it does a look a big step forward for City.

"Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned". There goes any love we had for Pep.

Don't forget what our esteemed ex-Ed002 mentioned a while back. Max Allegri. That's where my £5 has gone for next United manager.

I am fine thank you, I saw the news and took a step back.

Our club has got itself in a right mess, looks to me like a bit of arrogance, Liverpool circa 1990, thinking we would just carry serenely on and nothing would change. It has now backfired, spectacularly and as I have said a few times they need to get this next move right or it will be obscurity for years whilst City put their club up with Barcelona and Real. Brought it all on ourselves, now it's Woodward's decisions that deserve utmost scrutiny.

I can't even think let alone comment. It is the news I've been dreading for months and now it is confirmed. I have to say, I'm surprised Pep has chosen City. He has managed two of the top teams in the world with massive fan base and as much admiration I have for City and their owners, they will never have that standing in world football.
If he had come to United and acted miracles, then his reputation as the best coach would have been enhanced.
Having said that, if I was Pep and saw the stability ato city and the turmoil and complete lack of direction and lack of footballing ambition at United, then I, Ightfield have made the same decision.
I think there is a big division and infighting going on inside United with board members disagreeing amongst themselves, and that is holding the club back. We're allowing the schister that is Woodward actually run the club. And we've already seen that he's not got one decision right so far.
So, are we going to sit and do nothing apart from securing, ore financial deals and asking for 15% cuts, or are the owners, the board and the management actually going to get together and finally try to turn the club around? Because at the moment, we're on a major downward spiral and heading into nowhere. This could take years to solve and especially as City, Chelsea, arsenal, spurs and even the scousers are improving their staff and clubs.
Have we really sunk this low that our top brass can't even see what's staring them in the face.
