Hey guys been looking at videos of Berbatov and the goals he scored for us. most of them spectacular. His ball control is insane. Would anyone wish we had a younger Berbatov in our squad now?

One of the most technically gifted players of his generation.
If his attitude and heart matched his technical abilities he could have been one of the best players ever.
First touch/ball control were amazing.

Having way watched him at OT he was not as lazy as how stab portrayed him. In fact i would say I was quite impressed with his work rate. Great player bought at the wrong time. His style would have suited is in the early 2000s .

Bags of skill but lazy and no heart, and as soon as something went wrong for him early in a game the head went down . I think it was Fergie's attempt to buy another Cantona .
And 30m spent on him at a time when we had Ronaldo, Rooney and Tevez up front at the time .

I'm not sure he was lazy, his work rate was decent he just lacked any pace and slowed our game down way too much. His first touch was absolutely ridiculous, but to answer the original question I think he would be the worst type of player we could have in our team now, we are lacking pace and he wouldn't have brought any of it.

I always wondered how Tevez, with his work rate felt, as he sat in the bench watching Berbatov in the team ahead of him.

I always love to see people putting Berbatov down while praising Tevez. Berbatov wasn't lazy, he focused on trying to drift into space (like a good froward should) and his off the ball attacking movement was top class. Was a good player for us, but we paid an inflated fee that he could never justify.
The issue, as Fergie acknowledges was the way the team was set up. Berbatov occupied the same space as Rooney, and that's why Hernandez eventually took his place. Decent goal scoring record, never complained and always tried for us.
But let's cheer on Carlos the Jackass who crossed the city divide for a fat pay packet.

Yearning for Berbatov?
I must have posted dozens of times but Berbatov turned back inside and offered no threat of running in behind. Many times I watched he opposition push their defensive line higher compressing play when he was on. Lovely touch but wrong player for us.

I'm sorry but when any player puts in less than the minimum reqired effort he can be classed as lazy. He makes depay look busy.
