0-0, 0-0, 0-0, 1-0, exhilarating stuff. What do you think the score v West Brom will be, I'm going 1-0 cz of Pulis style of play just as much as anything.

Agree2 Disagree0

Depends on whether we set up to control the game or to win it. If we could manage an early goal that would be fantastic. Then we could sit back and watch as they take over and we hold on, relying on de Gea to preserve the win.

I'm going for 3-1.

05 Nov 2015 16:09:02
LOL.

I think there will be goals in the game for some reason. 2-1 I am betting.

I do hope LVG does not go back to playing Rooney as striker after his comments after the CL game. I think we should play 442 at home as 433 dos not work with rooney.

Say for example we win 3-0 tomorrow and 3-0 at Watford we would be 3-0 0-0, 0-0, 0-0, 1-0, 3-0, 3-0 and then everything would be looking pretty good and we would be on a great run of unbeaten form including games against City and Palace.

We are more than capable if we take the game to them and score early so this could be the case, let's hope we see more attacking, I think GCU is correct that we should play 4-4-2.

0-0 I am putting the WBA GK and two of their CB's (Including Evans) into my dream team. I imagine if Rooney plays up front our reject will keep him quiet.

I'm also taking Martial out and putting in another Utd defender. I predicted this ages ago and I foolishly let my heart rule my head.

05 Nov 2015 17:59:20
Personally I hope that we never score of concede more than 1 for the rest of the season. It's about time we got with the 21st century and moved to binary.

06 Nov 2015 00:32:34
We are struggling to score 1 goal in any game so I'm going to go with another bore fest and a 1-0 win.

06 Nov 2015 08:03:33
Beast are you talking about Johnny Evans the reject who was at Man Utd for 9 years?

06 Nov 2015 08:43:04
Tight affair indeed unless something magical happens. I worry about Blind possibly being targeted by Rondon who is in a little bit of form and especially as we would imagine Pulis will instruct his team to play long balls into the box at every opportunity.

I hope that LVG has seen the backlash in the press this week about our boring football and decides to try to rectify it. I would play two up top as we have been generally well organised at the back this season and with our star man in goals it will give the attack an extra body up top.

After the match LVG will also be able to get a chance to speak with one of his potential successors in Tony Pulis about how he feels he is doing in regards to laying the foundations of the new squad for him.

06 Nov 2015 09:42:45
Angelred - Yes I am, unless Fletcher also drops deep. Was he in high demand and we did all we could to keep him?

He was deemed not good enough (ergo rejected) yet I believe he will keep Rooney quiet. Like the vast majority of CB's have this season.

06 Nov 2015 11:48:23
I think if we play with ambition like we did against moscow, with a bit better shooting, we should win. Hopefully having finally scored on tuesday, the nerves would have settled.

06 Nov 2015 12:24:42
Well for a player to last 9 years at UTD, the last word I would use to describe him would be reject. Stam, Beckham, Keane, Van nistelrooy, van Persie, the list goes on, are these all rejects too as we didn't want to keep them?

06 Nov 2015 12:38:59
Evans is still in the prime of his career.

06 Nov 2015 13:22:09
So was stam and beckham.

06 Nov 2015 13:30:05
Both fell out with the manager, Beckham went to Madrid (hardly a step backwards) and Stam was SAF's biggest regret. I don't think LVG even remembers who Evans is!

I don't get why you guys are busting my balls about this. Evans was clearly rejected by the club, great servant etc, but nevertheless we got rid of him when we had clear problems in the position he plays.

Do you think Evans was wanted then? Stop playing silly buggers.

06 Nov 2015 13:35:42
So were 3 of the 5 players I mentioned above. I wouldn't have called any of them rejects though.

06 Nov 2015 13:45:25
No but I would call Anderson, Nani, Hernandez and my beloved Rafael Utd rejects, players of the same or even higher level than him. I don't get why you would compare Evans to world greats like Beckham, Keane, etc to try and prove a point that is not even correct in the first place.

PC gone mad with some of you!

06 Nov 2015 14:17:26
LVG can't even remember the name of his best defender so what chance has he got remebering Evans. You guys need to chill out. In essence what the Beast says is true Evans wasn't good enough so he was a reject. That doesn't mean he wasn't a good lad to have about the club. The word deadwood is much more demeaning.

To compare the moving on of Evans to the likes of Beckham, Stam, Keane etc is just down right ridiculous. To think you lot think I make arguements out of nothing lol. The problem with this page is it is a case of let's get stuck into this poster rather than the post. Pathetic really.

06 Nov 2015 15:06:29
I'm chilled Maze/JMB. I just thought being called a reject was a bit harsh on the lad. I never compared the moving of Evans to any of those men in terms of ability. Beast used a line 'deemed not good enough' Ferguson deemed those players not good enough so moved them on. I wouldn't have called them rejects. That was my point.

To point out that it's 'let's get stuck into this poster' lark is silly. I don't know Beast or any other poster personally and I actually believe Beast is one of the better posters on here as he calls it like he sees it and generally does not get involved with petty arguments. I just simply pointed out I thought the word reject was harsh on Evans. A difference of opinion, no more, no less.

06 Nov 2015 16:56:47
All good Angelred. I meant it more in the sense of a player not deemed good enough for us will in all likelihood have our captain in his back pocket. Rather than a direct dig at Johnny, who I actually like and rated until his confidence disappeared.

I appreciate there are ways of saying things and "Reject" could easily be construed as unnecessarily harsh on the guy.

Hopefully Rooney will make me seem like a mug tomorrow.

07 Nov 2015 09:37:24
Understood beast, i hope you know I'm not having a dig or anything, it's just something that stuck out at me.

But your main point that evans will handle him, I think I could handle Rooney at this moment in time lol. Let's hope he finally proves us all wrong, that would be nice.
