It's an unrealistic expectation for fans to have a preference as we want to always win the league and the reason for doing well in the league is to get a crack at the CL. So hypothetically why can't we have a crack at both?

The league. Every time. And it's not for the reason you state, JMB.
It's being able to pass another team's supporter in the street, especially the Scousers, and giving them a little smile without a word needing to be spoken. Both of us knowing what the smile means.

I said PL because I think that is the best marker for judging where we are as a team. Teams have won the CL in the past with some good fortune or favourable decisions in the knockout rounds, that doesn't happen with the league the team that finishes first have been the best overall for that season.

A crack at both maze jmb rollo? For months you have been telling us we have crap players and a crap coach is that not enough taxon to have a crack at neither? Unless of course you are wrong and our players are not useless robots and our coach is not a dinasor that is completely outdated. Because if that was the car we couldn't have a crack at anything except relegation

Champions League. We should have won it more than we have and we need to overhaul the scousers. Also, it makes us the place to come and play
