Anyone find the game very boring. We hardly create any chances and scored via route one and a great individual skill being the difference.

No not really. But to be fair gcu you struggle to find very many positives at all recently. It's a little disjointed but there are some positives and very few negatives for me. All I want to see at this stage is constant improvement and we are ina much better place than we were 12 months ago although some people can't bring themselves to say that.

Non stop complaints about possession , then Rooney scores from a great long pass from Blind and its complaints about route one football .
We won 3 - 0 , great goal for young Perreira and another for Martial and its still doom and gloom

I was quite pleased with the way we played. Controlled the game, tempo. Rooney looked a bit more lively, linked up better. That was a massive positive and obviously how we took his goal.
UTD just seemed to keep the game ticking over and won 3-0. Just remember ME Dons last year!
And what can we say about martial, not since RVP in our last title win have we seen a striker so composed. Hats off to him. Long may it continue and the quicker we pay his full amount the better

What were you expecting exactly? We are playing against a team in a lower division who have came to defend well and try and snatch a goal on the break, we totally controlled the game, broke them down on many occasions and could have had more. Great goal for pereira, martial continues to make one on ones look easy and a good goal and world class first touch from a player who has no first touch anymore and can't score goals. Not bad really.

We scored a goal from route one from a great piece of individual skill, a great free kick and a goal at the end when it really makes no difference and they were pushing up to get something from the game also route one.
i am not looking at the scoreline and the fact that we are creating very little in open play and that is quite worrying. They were never going to bother us offensively and quite poor. All mccarthy's teams are about graft and hussle. How many shots on target did we have and did their Goalie make a decent save?
All this possession in their half produces very little in terms of goal chances, that's all.
One final observation, Rooney despite his goal is so static when he is in the box and for some reason will make runs out wide but has very little movement when he is in the box. Watched him solely for about 30 minutes.

The Blind pass to Rooney was a great pass not just an aimless lump in the general direction of the opposition penalty area . To keep describing that goal as route one is doing it a disservice .

Spot on, not route one in any way, a great ball by blind and great control my Rooney. Only someone on this website can watch us win 3-0 and say it was boring and not good enough, realise you sound a bit silly?

GCU, it's what I've been saying for ages. Totally agree. Yes we are controlling games, hard to beat , and efficient if probably the word I'd use. But I agree we do very little with such possession. If we could speed it up and create a bit more we would be brilliant

Do you not think it has sped up considerably from some of the earlier games? There seems to be more patterns of play, martial is stretching the defence with his runs meaning there is more space for us to pass in and therefore we can pass quicker and with more purpose. It's still not perfect but I see small steps of improvement which mixed with the young players we have coming through makes for a very exciting time.

The only people who can not see the improvement and momentum we are building are those who do not want to see.
We are most definitely moving in the right direction it all seems to be coming together imo.

GCU if blind's goal was route one then i think u need to check what is route one football, if that pass was made by iniesta or modric and scorer had been suarez or benzema it would be classed as worldclass, but bcz blind passes and rooney scores it is suddenly route one.
I don't know which match u were watching we created more than enough chances to score more than 3 and had a penalty claim disallowed, just bcz u don't like LVG it doesn't mean we are rubbish, may be it is u who needs to take those anti LVG glasses off and watch games, may be u will see what is actually happening.

Gds2, yes I would agree that it has quickened a bit, especially with martial on the pitch, there's better movement all round. If we could raise it a couple more notches over the next couple of months we could be a very good side again
