Just observing some comments on LVG spending these last two seasons. LVG has Spent obscene amounts because he had to.

Look how many players we were all happy to say goodbye to because most thought they were surplus to requirements or not Utd quality? You can't give out if he does get rid and give out we spend obscene money rejuvenating the squad, its makes no sense?? Of course he is going to spend money to rejuvenate the squad. LVG spending 250 mill just shows the real lack of investment that was in the squad since Fergie left

At the end of the day the money spent cannot be a criticism of LVG
everyone man and his dog knows the squad was in need of a major overhaul and many can agree it will take one more Summer transfer window to see a truly world class squad.

As I have said in a previous post to JMB

LVG has what I consider his core group/squad that he trusts most importantly to follow his "philosophy" and what it all comes down to now is not money, who we have let go, its a sheer case of will LVG start letting the team implement fast attacking football we all know the team can produce and move on on from the pedestrian defensive brand of football

The added pace in the attack should enable us to play faster IMO.

It is reasonable to criticise the money spent on certain individuals when they are panic buys in the last day of the summer window and the squad has been left depleted so that immediate buys are needed. However good Martial becomes, a total fee of 57.4 M euros is obscene and shows lack of foresight. Falcao was a flop and how do you all rate Di Maria? My point is based on past events.

I can forgive everything for selling Evans.

I see that one person has disagreed with my observations.
To reach the last day of gthe window with only Rooney and Wilson as strikers (Wilson not having even been on the substitutes bench this year) leaving the squad depleted. The gamble on Di Maria was certainly bad since a loss of £15 M was incurred on sale and Falcoa was a flop. So where is the basis for disagreement? Yes the final figure for Martial could be £80 M Euros, not £57, but that makes him an even bigger gamble and places a totally unfair burden on his shoulders. The fee is 15 times what Monaco paid a year ago. He is surely not 16 times better since then. It confirms that the judgement of VDG and negotiating skill of Ed is poor, no better than Moyes who at least paid only £4M extra for Fellaini but failed to sign Herrare.
Both Monaco and RM have run rings round United, and every other team has seen that, making the next acquisitions more expensive. (en of rant for tonight)
