So the window is shut and what an embarrassment. The lengthy pursuit of Darmian and Schneiderlin, letting their clubs put us through the mill before we paid ridiculous fees for them was dreadful. Then there was signing the World Cup winner at an unbelievably high price; we got shafted there. And when we could have signed any player we wanted in the universe, we blew our money on Depay, an unproven youngster who has played in a minor league. Shocking, truly shocking. To vcao it all we but another youngster that was coveted by several other European giants. They wouldn't pay the money but we just opened the cheque book and wasted even more money. LVG out, Woodward out. We should have signed Cech, Ramos, Alves, Hummels, Varane, Bale, Ronaldo, Messi, Ibrahimovic. If I can see it, why can't LVG? I don't think I can watch them any more, this is the worst United squad I have ever seen, ever ever ever.

It's so so stupid and short sighted. I can't believe the fallout on here. I think its the parents fault for bloody spoiling their kids, they get everything they want these days. iPhone, iPad, iPod, MacBook, designer clothes, xbox, PS4 and bloody vagazzles.

Bunch of pampered cry baby whimps the lot of them.

"Oh the club didn't sign who I wanted them to sign, fine I'll throw a little hissy fit and and turn into a keyboard warrior and vent my frustration that Ed bloody Woodward didn't ask me who the hell I wanted to sign the incompetent fool, everyone must die or failing that be fired. I'm so f**king pissed right now i'm crying p1ss and p*ssing sh1t. I'm going to write a letter".

flump me some people need to get a life.

Fortunately the standard in the Premier League doesn't seem too high at the moment so we may be contenders for 3rd or 4th position. However, I have supported Utd for 50 years and management of the club does seem to be at an all time low. LVG seems to think that management is about being macho, it's not but so many players don't want to play for him.
This transfer window has exemplified the complete lack of a coherent strategy. We were interested in Bale, Hummel, Ramos, Neymar, Pedro and Muller. Allegedly we had a budget of £160m. In the event we bought Schneiderlin, a good buy, Darmian, also a good buy. After that it was a succession of promising youngsters that we overpaid for and a German midfielder who is probably past his best. We have released good players and have not addressed the key issues of Striker and CB. To top it all we had the tragi comedy of the DDG "transfer". This is a multi million pound company and we cannot get the basics right. I live in hope but I think we should be so much better. Perhaps the most worrying issue is our style of play, in the past we were based on pace, attack and skill. If they scored one we'd score two, not any longer. Our heritage is at risk, LVG has had over 50 games and I, for one, don't know what the strategy is. Perhaps that's just me and it will all come right.

what i don't understand is, when did United go from a club that signs proven worldclass talent like Vidic, Evra, Ronaldo, Schmiecal, Cantona etc to a club that now just buys players no one has heard of? :)

Shocking

And don't forget that it is also the most injury prone team ever in all of football. We are a joke and will struggle to make top 6.

Haha spot on AJH, sums up how I'm feeling, glad we are in the same boat. Not an amazing transfer window but by no means as bad as some people are seemingly making out.

Hi AJH.
Though there are several signings in this window that were wildly excessive, Darmian and Schneiderlin were the least of them. (except Romero). The names that you mention like Bale, Ronaldo, etc. are simply pipe-dreams in a fantasy football game.
The real problem is that United has relatively little bargaining power at the moment, and what little remains is dissipated by getting rid of players before a replacement has been obtained. So, as is natural, the selling club has the whip hand.

Moyes out! ;)

Who in their right minds disagrees with this? ;)

AJH. You missed 1 ever of the end. surely

to be honest as ed 02 has mentioned we had several positions that we wanted players for and with the exception of a cb we got them all.

a rb, dm, cm a left sided attacker and a striker.

My only concern would be that on top of that list we should have gone for a right sided attacker as soon as we knew dimaria was going. I hope that pereira now gets a opportunity and given the amount of games we are going to have I am sure he will.

I just hope we are not left short of numbers as we signed 7 players and released 22 one way or another.

I think its been a good transfer window. We have covered rb, cm, lw and a potentially top striker in the making.
