Apparently Stones has handed in a transfer request, how good do people think he could be? Our ex-iniesta Mr cleverley said he's like a young Rio. Would it be good business to get him in with a view to offloading the slowly but surely disappearing future of Phil Jones? Would be good to get one over on Mourinho too.

Ive mentioned this too mate below. Think we need to go all out for him but the problem is it will become a bidding war and if Chelsea win we will be the laughing stock. Hopefully with Evans and a lot of money we can persuade him to come. It will be a hefty price but i honestly think he will be great, maybe even a future captain of club and country. What Jones was supposed to be !!!!

Cash plus Evans surely. They get a replacement and money to spend. Evans gets his preferred move do he doesn't have to move house. And we get a top youngster.

Would be nice mate but almost impossible as it looks certain that Chelsea will get him now :( Just think of the long term partnership he and Smalling could potentially form, we could be sorted for years1!

From what I've seen a "young Rio" seems apt. Strong in the tackle and good with the ball. Very composed for a young lad. However I don't think a CB should be our priority. Seem like he's off to Chelsea and boy do they need him.

Doesn't mean to say he can only sign for chelsea once handing in a request.
Marquinos and Varane would cost an arm and leg patzi and aren't proven in the PL. Laporte makes most sense though!
