If a cb isn't brought in does anyone else think we may see Carrick play there? Has covered there before and would suit van gaals wishes of a ball playing centre back, thoughts?

Not unless we have serious I just problems again. I think if a CB isn't signed then Evans stays.

Carrick is not a centre half, I don't think its a good idea jay, over a sustained period he would be badly exposed playing at CB, I have no doubt we will sign a new cb this window, I have no idea I'm not sure anybody does outside of those that need to know.
IMO there is three more players still to come in possibly 4 depending on degea and di Maria exits.
Despite a good season young is hanging on to his united career by a thread same can be said of Valencia and to a lesser extent fellaini ,
Rafael no takers so far we will probably see him leave for 5m or thereabouts. Same with Evans both will do a decent job elsewhere for that sort of fee they would prove be great value in the long run.
So there is a lot of potential business to be done yet and many of the major clubs have still to play their hand.
Are real Madrid going to make a marquee signing this summer?
What will city do?
Does anybody believe the Russian won't have his chequer book out before Sep?
Who will real sell?
Will pogba leave?
Will united keep ddg?
Will di Maria move?
Who will psg sell?
Who will Wenger splash out on?
The merry go round is only starting up there is a lot of ifs buts and maybe's at the moment but I am very confident that there are still some significant moves to be made and there is still a few twists and turns to unfold.

Ken, 3 more would be an awful lot of change in 1 window. I think we need a CB, the only other signing might be a forward if ADM goes. that's still a great deal of upheaval

Ha yes deepest sympathies to myself Ed if he stays too. We desperado need a top CB.
