I think its going to be announced any day now that di maria is off to psg. I think negotiations of his price are going on right now. Its sad really, he really is a hard working and great player. Somethings are not meant to be. I just hope we get a decent replacement.

Hes a good player but its a shame he wants to go play in a leauge that is less competative than the championship,

Abilty means nothing if your not willing to challenge yourself.

what if we sell him and don't replace him ?
maybe depay is his replacement

That would worry me. Depay is very inexperienced and that would be a lot of pressure on him already

di maria has always been one of my fave players. i remember being in awe when i saw him for benfica and was gutted when he went madrid so you can guess how i felt when he joined utd. Di maria i will say on his day is unplayable and in the top 10. What we need to remember is at madrid, he wasnt seen as the main threat, obvioisly with ronaldo ozil benzema over the last few years. the problem at utd wass he was the only direct player on our team. most of our players were too fearful of taking on a player which as a utd fan i'm sure we all find frustrating as were used to attacking football. Teams could hence solely focus on preventing di maria going forward as it was easily to work out what our other players would do. di maria had no attacking support and so there was a lack of space for him to exploit. ill be really sad to see him leave if he does because i feel with the solid mid and depays pace we can see more of the di maria we expect but if he wants to go. we should let him. but an adequate replacement is necessary. Bale or maybe even a swap with muler if possiible

I know football shouldn't be all about physical attributes but does anyone else think we lack pace if Di Maria goes and isn't replaced?

What jumps out in your post is that
"he wasnt seen as the main threat, obvioisly with ronaldo ozil benzema over the last few years"
putting Ozil in there epitomises that we paid way over the odds for him in the first instance. £41m for ozil and £60m for Di Maria- there isn't £20 m difference and definitely not inDi marias favour.
I would like to see him moved on and guess we could get 2 quality signings with the reduced fee we would get and pay their contracts saving money from his wages. BTW, not disagreeing with your comments just think that Ozil mentioned endorses getting rid:)

I do. You only need to look at barca vs bayern last year to see what difference pace brings. Without robben amd ribery, bayern had no outlet despite matching barca's midfield. The result was they got the ball in promising areas and couldn't do anything with it.

ozil has been average for arsenal

As good as DM is, it was quite clear he did not want to come to United in the first place last season. If it was not for FFP he would have joined PSG 100%.

I don't know about the rest of you but for me if he doesn't want to be here, let him leave. He has not settled on or off the pitch, the break in was sad, however to me that is a conveinent excuse.

A parting of the waves is best all round, the main thing is replacing him with like for like quality.

Ibms that's a good example I agree
