Roll on the end of the window so i can come on this site without people going on and on about signing bale.
1. Benitez doesn't want to sell him.
2. perez doesn't want to sell him.
3. bale doesn't want to leave.

and yet we still have posters saying we should pay more for bale than madrid paid for him. Also has ADM ever said he wants to leave? NO. Has LVG ever indicated he would be willing to sell ADM? NO
We already have enough wide players and, according to LVG too many number 10s. let's sign a top class CB and striker and then get on with the new season.
Know all the baleites will be up in arms but the idea that we will conquer the world with him in our team( messi or a younger CR7 maybe) is IMO rubbish

couldn't agree more Allan, just desperate fans dreaming about bale, not happening!

14 Jul 2015 16:58:28
I may be wrong but I think we will sign Bale in this window.

Neither LvG or ADM have expressed their true feelings but it's clear neither of happy. ADM was dropped time and time again so I think LVG would listen to offers, especially if we can recoup what we paid. And it's clear as glass that ADM wants out, the guy looks miserable and is playing awful, I want him to kick on as much as the next guy but I wouldn't mind if he left, seems to have a shocking attitude and doesn't want to be here, if he wants little competition and a boat full of money then he can F off to Ligue 1 for all I care.

14 Jul 2015 17:15:36
even i think we won't get bale and about ADM i still remember the look on LVG face when Adm came of injured against hull i have a feelin that lvg want to sell him .

14 Jul 2015 17:28:56
If we sign a top class CB then it's a brilliant window. I'm not bothered about signing world class attacking players until LVG goes, world class for the neutral isn't world class for an LVG system - we could have had anyone up top last season and it wouldn't have mattered much. Our wingers have a lot of responsibility as well, so what most people consider to be world class isn't necessarily right for us just yet.

I am pleased LVG has sorted the midfield, I think they are ideal for his way of play and if he gets the back sorted by default our attackers should come into their own. I think we will be rock hard to beat next season and that 60% possession will be 75%. Hopefully chances will be created as well and we will actually be good to watch.

Dea gea has never said he wants to go but what's your point??

Every player regardless of wanting to be sold has a price so for people to belive we can sign him why is that a bad thing?

14 Jul 2015 17:42:28
If we sign Bale, great; however, I won't lose any sleep if we don't.

The problem I have with Di Maria is he quite evidently couldn't be bothered most of last season and didn't play for our badge. I believe after a disappointing World Cup final, he probably looked at the Copa America as a way to make amends. Therefore he protected himself to make sure he was in his best shape for the Copa America.

I don't expect him to care more for the United shirt than his National shirt, however, I expect him to love them both the same. Di Maria will never do that and should be sold for that alone with or without a replacement ready and available.

Adm going nowhere, same as bale! Well said

14 Jul 2015 18:25:57
ADM - Started well, got injured, played out of position, burgled, lacked confidence, never picked.

He wanted to do his best I believe, but his natural ability was stifled and he showed how incapable he is of performing well when others aren't or doing something brilliant when playing bad himself. We paid double what he was worth, but there were mitigating circumstances behind his poor season.

This manager wanted him to be our Robben, but didn't realise how much more defensive the PL is and how dominating the ball meant we couldn't break at pace, nullifying the best attributes of ADM. For Young to be our best winger it is quite clear that the problem is deeper than form, it is the system and the manager mainly.

Beast , you say that you're glad lvg has sorted the midfield and we should be stronger next season and better to watch . You don't think that possibly that might have been the plan all along but that as was said here before it was always probably going to take 3 transfer windows

14 Jul 2015 18:30:58
the point spb is, to persuade the manager and the president to sell a player that neither wants to sell our offer would have to be way in excess of what the player is worth. Over £100m probably. Also as bale himself has said he doesn't want to leave what sort of package would we have to offer to tempt him to change his mind? something approaching CR7s maybe which i believe is £600k per week

14 Jul 2015 19:20:10
We didn't have the personal to play the way LVG wants to play last season we done very well getting top 4 with players like feilleni young and valencia and no return from 4 strikers
We played tottenham man city Liverpool and first half Chelsea and arsenal off the park with the system LVG implicated now he's got the players in he wants and hopefully a CF and a commanding CB I think you will be eating your words BEAST he's won the league everyteam he's went to and I don't see why it wont't happen with us in fact we should EXPECT it

14 Jul 2015 19:46:52
Beast , I agree with a lot of the above , but to say ADM's "natural ability was stiffled" is rubbish. Most players start off fairly well because they have a point to prove. I think after a few games he came to realise how different and harder and faster the game is over here and didn't like it , end of.
He didn't want to be here in the first place , but we were the only club daft enough to pay the money Madrid wanted. I still maintain he was a "statement" signing.
He is a decent player in his day. He is not a world beater , and never will be. This idea that he was Madrid's best player is a myth. He had a few good games , but he is far too inconsistent and always has been. He is equally at home playing through the middle as he is out wide , so not sure where this idea that he was played out of position comes from. Even if he was , that doesn't account for lack of effort and desire , or his inability to control the ballmor pass it 10 yards to a team mate.
He is a decent player I accept , and if he had cost us £10m I don't think we would complain too much. But when you pay £60m for a player , I think it is not unreasonable for the fans to expect a whole lot more than we have seen so far.
My heart says I hope he stays and proves me , and a lot of other wrong. Unfortunately , my head says otherwise. If he didn't really want to be here last year , how much do you think he wants to be here after a very average first season?
I think if PSG ( the club he really wanted last summer ) come knocking , you want see his arse for dust.

I would like to keep ADM next season but think he may be sold. I don't think LVG is overly keen on him and I think the club regret the massive wages he's on. the wage bill has been reduced significantly recently and apart from Rooney and ADM I believe most players wages are reasonable. So recouping their transfer fee and saving on wages financially makes great sense as he hasn't justified the money spent so far. A case of cutting your losses I think

Allan, the editors have told us already that Real Madrid would sell Bale at the right price. It doesn't matter what Benitez wants in all honesty. As for Bale himself, I'd gladly have him earning the most at our club than AdM.

14 Jul 2015 20:01:33
My posts are so good , they get put up twice.
Well , that's what JMB would have said anyway :)

Keep adm and sign cavani. Rooney needs competition and he will definitely give him that captain or not.

Bilko - yes mate it was the plan I agree. Every manager has an ideal system and ideal players and works towards that end, what managers don't typically do is ask players that are incapable to do jobs for a system that only 1 or 2 players are comfortable with. A good manager assesses his squad and works around that, he doesn't pick a system ignoring the squad. That is why I hated last season so much, it was a wasted season.

Nach - On paper if he signs another CB then I would put us up for the league, the problem I have is that I don't think the manager is right for this specific task. I won't keep going over the reasons why, but our best players were squad players last season - we need our top players to perform well regularly, I don't think he is the man for it.

Betty & Betty haha - I agree about ADM mate in the main, never rated him that highly, but the out of position thing is mainly when he was stuck up front for a few weeks (QPR I remember specifically which was a joke), then we shuffled the system again and he was stuck out wide, hardly getting the ball - with zero movement around him. He was a disgrace mainly and I would get rid of him, but I don't think he didn't try (or saved himself for the Copa America as some suggest), I just think he got his head down when he first came, things started to go wrong and he just let it get to him. Almost like going back with an Ex, you have those few nights where it's great and then the old problems start presenting themselves and you remember why you didn't want to be there! We'll see him in Paris.
