I hope we don't sign a world class striker (out and out striker). No player in their right mind would sign for us without contractual agreements for them to play when fit, because of what LVG has said about Rooney.
In an ideal world I would love us to buy a top class striker as we miss one and need competition, but we have to be realistic about what happens with Rooney because of LVG's stupid decision to make him undroppable.
{Ed004's Note - That is why signing Kane could be a smart signing. He will start this season similar to last where he will (I reckon) replace Rooney as the season continues. Rooney will begin as the main striker but eventually be replaced. If Kane is signed he will miss preseason due to the u21s? Meaning he will may not be ready to start straight away. Would reduce the amount of changes to the team this summer helping us hopefully hit the ground running}

It was a stupid decision to make the ONLY choice for captain as captain. Looking for negatives.

I agree beast which is why I think muller woutd be great the 'undroppable' captain wouldn't need to be replaced as muller can play all across the front 3

Nathaniel - It's not the choice of captain that was stupid(although I wouldn't have given it him), its the undroppable part.

If a striker was bought Rooney could still play but in a deeper role, maybe linking midfield and attack but I do agree to say any player is undropable is stupid
