So if the betting and papers are to be believed Wilson is heading to Hull on a season long loan. RVP is off with Nani to Fenerbache and Chicarito has been told to find a new club. Seems like we will be a bit short up front. So what sort of names look remotely possible to all you "in the know folk" as I'm sure LVG won't be happy with just Wazza up front considering he is also pretty much his favourite midfielder!! Why o why don't they have faith in Hernandez. With preseason starting next week does anybody think we are in for a couple of days of madness or simply a big squad with lots of youth heading abroad??
{Ed004's Note - I think LvG will be signing a striker however I have no idea who. He complained during the season about not having a 20 goals a season striker}

Maybe Rooney will play attacking mid 'fellaini' position slightly further forward than Herrera and sign benzema, Cavani, lacazette or higuain.

I agree, jred. And I hope it is. But he'll not be bought to sit on the bench as back up to Wayne. So where does Wayne go? If it's midfield, then I'd rather Cavani stay where he is.

I genuinely have no idea who he wants or is going to sign. I mean we still have a big hole in midfield and defence to fill not to mention our no.1 although I'm happy with Vallez if he can be like Edwin. I was under the impression for some reason we would have all our new players in by preseason but it's quite the opposite we will have lots gone and none in by the looks of it (bar 1)

We keep going over the Hernandez situation but simply he plays well running on to balls crossed from close in because his movement is very good. However back to goal and close control is no where near good enough as a first choice striker. He could come on as a sub but I doubt that is what he wants. We need a first choice striker rather than rely on another season of mix and match

I'm going to say one of benzema/Muller now I know some say muller is impossible but I'd of said ramos was and although nothing is done yet it looks possible

Cavani is already average at what ever age he is! Can't see what all the hype is over? Lacazette would fit in perfectly going forward! Cavani is just not worth the money or his wage! Lyon have already bought a replacement for him anyway?! Think of both Lacazette and Depay going forward? Goals, goals, goals! As well as them BOTH getting better due to both their ages! It's a no f'ing brainer!! Endless pot of money? Just go get him, and quick!

lacazette is a full 4 years younger than cavani.
at 24 years old he has had one good season in the french league .
looks a decent player but there are still a few question marks about him.
cavani imo is a proven top class striker .
cavani would suit the EPl imo

I agree Red Man but the lad scores goals and we spent our balls last season on a type of player who is the same as chico and didn't score so if we need that sort of player why not use what we have and love.

Lewandowski for me above all the others but can't see BM selling him.
I see people are getting uptight about Rooney being un-droppable well that was last season and there was only one real choice as captain plus he was above the level of the other strikers at the club generally. Added to that was his fight and leadership on the pitch and we didn't have anyone else showing that last season. However, if we buy a top striker Rooney has to up his game to stay in the team and I doubt LvG will stick to his undroppable comments if Rooney is not performing.
