MEN suggesting a straight swap of De Gea for Ramos would allow both Real and United to say they'd 'won'. First reaction was that was just the standard lazy journalism that accompanies this time of year. We need a couple of big transfers to kick off a domino effect and get other transfers going and until that happens it's we are signing Ronaldo etc. I did think Ramos was just angling for more cash but I think he genuinely wants out and seemingly only to us.
Going into the transfer season thinking DDG could go for tuppence ha'penny and landing one of the best CBs in the world would be some turnaround.

I'm still think Ramos is after a new contract, notice there are no quotes attributed to him they are all sources close to him. Allowing him to have deniability for when he signs a lucrative new contract. If he was adamant about leaving surely he would have gone public to force Madrids hand they couldn't keep a player that the fans would turn on. on the whole thought our transfers were going to done nice and early this window. Hopefully they are done by pre season tour or we could struggle next season especially when it looks like 4 or 5 starting players may be coming in
With little time to adapt to stem and league.

He might be remaining quiet as negotiations are potentially ongoing regarding DDG and Ramos.
Shoe on the other foot Jamie, with DDG's silence do you feel he's just after a new contract then?
I think they're instructed to let the teams sort out the details to see if the figures are suitable first.
I may be completely wrong though, wouldn't be the first time :P
