Almost all of you seemed to forget that our best right back is Rafael. I prefer him over Valencia and Varela. I haven't seen a news that LVG wants to ofload him or other teams shown interest. I'm sure that LVG had Rafael as his first choice RB last year, though he was injured all season and at the end he wasn't fit enough to play games other than U21s. I really think he is a very good player and think he should play at least next season as well.

I agree he is a good player, a bit too injury prone and very rash in tackles at times, but think he adds a lot more than Valencia most of the time.

He wasn't injured all season. Simple fact is that LVG doesn't rate him and consistently picked Valencia over him.
I can't see how anyone still thinks Rafael is a solution to our RB problem. He hasn't grown as a player over the last few seasons, he hasn't sorted out his disciplinary problems, and, most importantly, he is incapable of staying off the treatment table for longer than a month.
The lad will be 25 years old when the season starts and, despite his promise a few years ago, he just isn't good enough or reliable enough.

He is our best, but he is not favored by LVG and can never stay fit. There have been no rumours of him being sold though so he may well be here next season.

Ziko, while Rafael is probably our best RB when fit, your stat shows he was injured for around half the season. What about between December and April? You're stats show he was fit so why wasn't he picked? This shows LVG doesn't rate him.

Rafael should have been sold with his brother IMO he is still making the same mistakes he was 6 years ago. He scores much less than Coleman and is pretty poor in the final third has poor ball retention and an awful injury record. One of y east favourite players over the AST 10 years there is at east a dozen better RBs in the ell and half a dozen better than him in the championship and 3 better than him at united
