Firmino is a top player, but we have a couple of excellent prospects in the positions that Firmino fills, and maybe the manager thought that bringing him in would have impaired the development of the younger players?

Dont get me started on that lad from Charlton Toms! It's like we don't care about youth! we didn't give any a chance last year, besides, Blackett, McNair, Januzaj, Janko, Pereira, James etc.
The bit that erks me is that Bogdan was the perfect replacement for De Gea. He played a pivotal role in guiding Bolton to 18th in the Championship last season. WHEN WILL WE PULL OUR FINGERS OUT AND GET THE TOP PLAYERS. We are becoming the 'northern Spurs'
