May have missed some posts but HAve things cooled on Hummels. talk seems to be back on otemandi.
Also do we have any interest in sven bender? Seems a good hm. and we do seem to like dortmund players

Miranda for me. He is a much better no nonsense defender and is heaps cheaper than both Hummels and Otamendi.

Otamendi is good when the ball is on the ground. He is fast and makes good interceptions. But I'm not sure if he's good enough in the air. The defenders in the Spanish league are not tested so much in the air but in England he might find it difficult.

Vlaar would be awful he doesn't even stand out in an terrible Villa side who ship goals for fun. hiding would be first choice strong, brave, experiences and more importantly a leader.

Not sure where you got your description of him. He is a beast in the air and leads the spanish league in headers by a defender both offensively and defensively mate. He is like Vidic in the air. He is not as good a passer as hummels but quicker and has that nasty argie streak which is good for a defender.
