RvP may not be the striker he once was but he definitely holds the ball well and his passing is pretty good. Falcao was embarrassing, a 12 year old girl could've held the ball for longer.

Terry Cahill and magic are a match for any striker playing up top on his own.
If rvp had of started he would be getting slated and everyone would be shouting for falcao to start

Service was shocking. Unfortunately the game was very much like our games pre Spurs. Obviously our injuries took away the strategy and we resorted to what we were doing all season.
I am not annoyed with LVG though, just disappointed we couldn't beat a very defensive Chelsea.
Any striker in world football would have looked poor for us today.

jred so are you saying whenever Falcao got the ball Terry, Cahill and Matic all the pounced on him?
Whenever he got the ball he had 1 player on his back it was either Terry or Cahill but not both and definitely not three.
Now I am not saying that he shouldve left Terry for dead and scored a goal but he failed to hold the ball for more than 3 seconds while having only 1 player on his back. I think in that aspect RvP would've been better

He was isolated , with no space it was easy for any 1 of them 3 to get tight to him.
I also think them 3 as a unit are excellent , especially when there just marking one person

Falcao was not awful today, he done his job.
He was asked to occupy the defense and did so. let's not cain him to hard.

Beast you're such a drama queen sometimes! Everyone of our stats were superior to Chelsea's except the most important one, the scoreline. Honestly don't see how you think we went back to pre Spurs game way of playing.
