First part of this weekend's sporting double header in the bag. Well done, Ireland. Please God, the game tomorrow isn't tense. I'm all out of fingernails.

3 incredible games Stevie, if only they all tried to play like that all the time.

I know, mate. I actually came as close as I ever could to feeling a little sorry for England today. Great effort from all three winners though. You're right. Games like that would make rugby union a much better spectator support for those who don't really follow it.

Rugby is played by men some of the knocks they took today were unreal and the fans actually care for there team

Would have been better if Scotland wasn't a shambles.

Rugby is a game played by men with odd shaped balls.

Mr E, I was asking my Scottish wife before the game. Does the Scottish sense of pride and self-worth, outweigh their hatred of the English. She said 'yes, of course'.

I think the result told a different story :)

ps. Stuart Hogg, who dropped the ball before grounding it in the last few minutes, is a distant relation of George Best. He knows where he's from :)

Didn't think I could watch 7 hours of Rugby Union.Rugby League for me all day long. But it was brilliant viewing. The standard of the refereeing was outstanding. Football could learn a lot from both codes.

Who is your league team lewandowski?

22 Mar 2015 11:18:16
Agree with TBL, you get league matches better than those week in week out, massively underrated sport. Give it a watch on Thursday and Friday nights when there's no other sport on!

The hit that plisson took from lawes was unbelievable given the fact that he still continued playing. Not sure he was the same after it though but I was impressed and if a was cornered by a bunch of fish wives I'd want them next to me.

The Vikings Wigan Red.I live on the south coast now so only get to go games when I go home to see the family. I try to plan visits around tasty home games like the Wire, Saints and Wigan. What's happening with the Warriors mate. I love the banter at the games. Loads of characters in the ground. Some of the one liners and comments are priceless. You really miss that when you're down here.Try asking for chips and gravy, some people look at you like you're abnormal! No babby's yed down here sad to say, you'd make a killing!

Great tournament this year. Your not going to like this noucamp but I don't think Ireland are a good rugby playing side, well you have the potential to be but the coach wasn't allowing you to play. Sure the functional grind em down approach works against most teams, until you try it in Cardiff, but you play like that in the world cup against the southern hemisphere boys and you'll come up short. The one game where you got let off the leash to play rugby you actually put a few try's on the board.

Don't disagree, Mr E, but then we only have a tiny pool of players to choose from, so we have to adjust our tactics accordingly. Bit like Stoke when they were establishing themselves in the premiership.

No-one over here thinks we can beat the top teams in the south on a regular basis, but in a one-off game? Who knows? I'd never have believed we'd ever be third in the world.

22 Mar 2015 15:50:03
To be honest I don't think anyone's beating the southern big 3. England make too many mistakes that teams punish them for. France are going backwards, if they could kick properly yesterdays game would have been closer, Scotland are woeful. Leaves wales and Ireland carrying the flag.
