We were fortunate to come out of this one with 3 points. Plenty of possession but few chances again. (Dull, dull, enough said) Newcastle had just as many and should have had a PK to boot.

Rooney's main weakness is his lack of pace. He simply can't outrun his marker. But his great strength is his persistence, which tonight led to our late goal. At this stage in his career I think he is much more suited to #10 rather than #9. I would love to see Rooney and Falcao working together for a few consecutive games.

The line up for the next few tough games is going to be interesting. Should we be going back to a back 3?

Not being funny but I don't know what game you were watching. We had a host of good chances and dominated them from start to finish.

A good performance from the team and a massive result.

so rooney has no pace and falcao who has less pace should be up top? pace isn't everything, plently of players lack pace but are better.
