I'm the first one in line when it comes to criticising lvg and his tactics. I'm also underwhelmed by the three scoreless matches before the cska match. The press are all over us like a rash.
However, we're not giving the defence enough credit for keeping a clean sheet in the last 4 matches. So well done to our defence and hope they carry on the good work.

Is the defence anything to do with Lvg? Does he deserve any credit?

Very true, the improvement in Chris (Mike) Smalling this season has been phenomenal, he is still shocking me with every class performance, sure it won't be long until I am expecting it and hope then he doesn't let me down / get injured which has happened so far in his career.
Rojo is good defensively too and whoever has been right back has not let the side down this season, blind and Jones have complimented smalling well when required, just a shame Jones is so unreliable with injuries as it would be nice to see him with the same kind of improvement as Mike.

Yes I agree Schmid the defence has been doing well but essentially we have been playing with 6 defenders as the two in the middle are dropping very deep so surely that is to be expected. I am not taking credit away from the defenders but to say the defence has been awesome and then be over critical of the forwards for being impotent up top is not a fair judgment as they are not getting helped out half as much as the defenders.

So you aren't taking anything away from the defenders but the rest of your post takes all the credit away from the defenders. Brilliant.

Agreed maze, but the 4 in defence and ddg, are defending very well as a unit and looking very solid.
I think the attack is a different matter. In my opinion, we're not moving the ball to the front line anywhere near fast enough. it is up to one of the holding midfielder and the attacking midfielder and the two full backs to do that. I think that is where the plan is faltering.
