I am a little surprised that LVG is going into the season with potentially just Wayne Rooney and the little pea up front.
Looking at his teams he has generally had 4 strikers generally 2 tricky forwards and two target men.
Ajax - Litmanen, kluivert, Kanu & Peter van bosses
Barca 97 to 00 - sonny Anderson, stoichkov, dugarry & juan antonio Pizzi
Barca 02 to 03 - saviola, kluivert, dani garcia & Sergio garcia
Bayern munich - olic, klose, muller & Gomez
For arguments sake let's say we sign pedro we are still missing the target man. Splash the cash and get lewandowski. Young, powerful, good technical skills and pace. And when Klop comes in next summer to replace LVG he knows how to get the best out of him.

a lot of them players also played ACM.
lvg has said he has rooney ,wilson chica , depay and adan who can play as strikers.
he seems happy with them 5 even if others are not

As much as i long for him, I don't think Lewandowski is available. If he was Real (who I believe he smashed 4 past in the champs league) would love to get him.
I do think Benzema is possible though which isn't the worst 2nd prize!

Myself and Red Man have been going on about Lewandawski for a long time now. We should've gone all out to get him.

Lewandowski is a striker who would cause carnage in the PL in my opinion Schmid.

last year everyone said lvg needed a strootman to make his system work.
this year it looks like it is lewandowski .
i think messi would be a great signing

Yes agreed, LvG will be judged this season and without a true top class striker a la RvN, it may be his last season with us so it is up to him. I have no loyalty to LvG so he has decisions to make. Note, the Ed's said Lewandowski was available and his agent even hinted what it would cost to get him.

by the way his agent said

Maze red Man. If lvg gets lewandawaski and no one else I'll be a happy man.
Pereira can be our new winger and our defence can just about cope due to better midfield. It is the striker role that is the problem.
