I know numbers on the backs of shirts aren't what they used to mean, but for those traditionalist among us, they still hold some significance.

We could genuinely go into this season with a new number 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9 and 11!

For me, I'd love to see Abrabat at 4, Casemiro at 5, Mount at 7, Kane at 9 and Garnacho at 11.

I don’t see the big thing about numbers tbh, but maybe reserve judgement on amount for now. He could be a great signing and do more for the number than anyone since Ronaldo wore it the first time.

Let’s face it he can’t do any worse than anyone who has come since, and we can’t exactly leave the number unfilled forever.

I think the number 7 shirt at Utd is iconic. We have been lucky to have a few really world class players wear it. It should be used to inspire whoever wears it to live up to the expectations that comes with the number.

For Newcastle fans I think the number 9 shirt has similar status.

Am not sure Mount has that star quality but if it helps him perform to his max then great.
