Welcome Harry Maguire!

In my opinion the fee is a little much but when all said and done it's not coming out of my wallet.

He will sure our defense up and will provide a big aerial presence at corners and attacking free kicks.

All in all a good but of business I'd say!

Thoughts?

Im not a fan of Maguire but i think he will bring leadership to our defense and with Wan bissaka as right back i think we have sorted our defense out, now we need to work on our midfield, Mata, Matic are done and dusted, Pereira, Fred are just not good enough, the only positive i see is Mctomminay stepping up, he is really growing there oh and all the kids like Greenwood and Gomes but we need more midfielders, very energetic midfielders if we are going to play the pressing game ole wants to play.

Agree with what you've said there T13. I think one of the benefits overlooked with Harry is his ability to bring the ball out of defence (and not just go square to fullbacks) thus setting up attacks. I think a lot of teams will sit off us and invite us on, this could be valuable.

Harry Maguire is a great signing he is exactly what we need the price is irrelevant . He's a leader something we are badly missing the defence is starting to look very solid would like another left back to cover Shaw but all in all happy with the defence.
If we can get one CM I would say its been a good window.

Price never matters to me, I'm not paying his transfer fee . bottom line harry gets a game for all the top 6 sides and that's good enough for me.

I think he will be a good signing, he has his weaknesses, but most of them can be worked on and improved. He offers an aerial presence, comfortable on the ball and able to bring the ball out from the back. All things we need to improve on in defence.

My one real gripe is this idea that he is a leader. I think people mix up rugged defender and leadership skills.

Harry Maguire hasn't so far in his career shown any leadership qualities. He doesn't organise the defence or talk his partner through a match, in fact more often than not he is the one being organised and talked through the game. He doesn't gee up his teammates, he isn't a leading voice in the changing room, and he doesn't have that presence when he talks that demands people listen. He seems like a nice likeable lad, someone who wouldn't ruffle your feathers.

I would be fascinated to hear why people think he is a leader.

shappy have you been in the changing rooms in games?

and unless your watching player cam on a the player or attending Leicester games and just watching him you can't make a statement saying he doesn't show leadership no one on here knows that.

but its not coincidence that many pundits, ex pros current players he was playing with have all said he is a future captain and he has shown leadership quality's

would be great to get a Leicester city fan on here for there opinion on maguire

we will soon see when he starts but pep wanted him to replace kompany who was a great leader so the scouts that have watched him must have seen something in him.
