So Spurs seem set to sign ndombele. Why oh why can we not seem to get deals done. He is a really good player and exactly what we need.

Tell me how many deals have other clubs done.

Every player we are linked with is apparently exactly what we need, fred (signed for similar money to what ndombele is going to go for) was exactly what we needed and look how that turned out.

Other clubs are going to sign players, they aren't all going to take a year off from transfers like spurs did.

Why would he choose the champions league finalist, with a brand spanking new top of the range stadium and an exciting highly rated manager over us? It’s madness I tells ya.

Surprisingly we can’t sign every single player that every club is linked with, we will probably sign 5 at the most, all the others players that we have been linked with in the press will either stay where they are or go somewhere else.

I know we cannot sign every player mentioned and that clubs like Spurs have Champions League football and a good manager but I don't think those two things are insuperable in us getting players. Poch has still won nothing. I know Real Madrid have a certain cachet and proven manager but look how quickly they have signed several really good players. They have not tolerated one poor season. From the outside at least it seems that the powers that be have been unable to acknowledge the truth of what successive managers including Van Gaal and Mourinho have declared to be a breakdown in the clubs infrastructure. For not one but for several seasons now we have steadily gone backwards. What really really puzzles me is that the Glazers, Woodward and the Board are not idiots. They know success begets success. That with success on the field comes financial rewards off it. The corollary is that failure makes the club less appealing to fans, the media and potential sponsors all of whom are sources of renue. That being so why does the club still seem to act slowly and certainly not decisively.

{Ed002's Note - Zero interest in the player from Manchester United. None.}

Ed 02 thank you for letting us know that we had zero interest. Be interested to know a) how highly you rate him b) whether the club has any desire to sign a player of his type and c) who you would sign for our midfield who is actually realistically attainable.

{Ed002's Note - (a) I don't rate players. (b) What do you mean by "type"? Do you mean a player the club has no interest in? That would seem unlikely. (c) I have explained where MU has interest in players.}

Ed 02. Re my points a fair enough. Re point b I meant a player who plays in a similar position in a similar style and with similar attributes. I was more interested about point c I didn't ask who the club were interested in but rather who YOU thought we should buy.

{Ed002's Note - The other interested sides walked away from Ndombele. In terms of the DM role I have explained where MU have and interest. In terms of CM I have again explained where there is interest.

In terms of who I think the club should look to, unlike most of the supporters who only want the most expensive of players (obviously doesn't matter if they are good enough or suitable), they should look to those targets of Mr Mourinho and sign Youri Tielemans.}
