This probably won't be a popular opinion on here, but my take on tonight's game.

Baring a collosal collapse by a very good PSG team at their own ground, we have near enough no chance of qualification. To have to beat PSG 0-3 is a big ask especially considering our injury depleted squad. To me, the weekends game against Arsenal is massive for our top 4 chances this season, and that game should be the priority now. We're not good enough to win the CL at the moment, qualification for next year is vital in terms or finance and bringing in top quality players, so that should be the focus this week.

For that reason I wouldn't be risking anyone who's not 100% fit, or just come back from injury. I'd give a few of the youngsters a go, get some experience of European football and just see what they can do. I'd rather keep the likes of Rashford fit and rested for Sunday's massive game away at Arsenal.

0-2 forces extra time, 1-3 we go through on away goals. It is a huge ask but surely this is what football is all about? The Arsenal game will look after itself. We're away on a European night against a really good team, but there's still a chance.

Why put so much emphasis on getting into the top 4, if we're going to give up when it gets a little hairy? You try and win every game, there is no in between.

I have to agree with Mumbles, nothing to suggest we won't win Sunday if we put a good team out tonight, or as good as we have available.

I'll be honest I would love to see Greenwood and Rashford either side of Lukaku, I think we would scare them to death in behind, Greenwood would have nothing to lose and who knows. Have a feeling he might not take that option though and play Dalot on the right, he changed the game on Saturday when he came on and deserves a chance up that right wing, we haven't had a player who can take a man on with pace, get to the byline and put in a good cross for quite a long time and Dalot does that.

Either way I am excited about how good some of our youngsters are, if only Ronnie was still here to enjoy it.

One of the great traits sir alex had was his belief in the team he sent out in every game. He always thought he could win. I hope Ole adopts this also. Sure the odds are against us but go out and give it everything. Last year against Sevilla was gut wrenching. i don't want to see that level of performance ever ever again. If we do lose i'm hoping for a spirited performance at least. the shirt demands that much.

10 players missing from a 25 man squad . don't think we have many options team picks its self.

Gds been saying it all weekend. Mason Greenwood would be perfect for tonight. The boy is special and I'd imagine that PSG wouldn't know much about him.

I doubt we will see it but I'd love for it to happen.

Agree with mumbles, go out on your shield tonight. Arsenals game will take care of itself come Monday. I highly doubt that if sir Alex were there today he'd be saying 'Alright lads, let's rest a few for tonight's champs league knockout game for the Arsenal on Sunday' not on your nelly.

Go for it lads and continue doing the fans proud. Come on United!

I think that to a certain degree ole's hands are tied but i don't think for one second he won't think we can win it. Let utd just have a go at them and if psg score two we may see the likes of chong, garner, greenwood early in second half. I believe utd will start quickly and try and get a quick goal to see how psg mentally cope.

Do you think our chances of getting a result in the Arsenal game are better if we win against PSG or if we lose heavily?

If we play the kids and get spanked 3 or 4 nil then how does that effect the mental state of our players ahead of Arsenal? How does it effect the mental states of the young players? Gibbs at Arsenal looked a quality player until he had a mare against us. After that he seemed to play with doubt.

Conversely imagine if we win, we turn the tie around go to Paris and beat the seemingly superior PSG team, and we do so without our best player and a raft of others who are injured. How might that effect the confidence and mentality of our players ahead of the Arsenal game?

I don't think we can afford to take anything for granted, and I don't think we should throw away our place in the competition we are fighting so hard to be a part of for next season.

Youngsters will have to play some part no doubt, and hopefully we can see something similar to what we did with Rashford a few seasons ago where some kid steps on to the pitch on a big European night and they start writing their own history with the club.

Maybe tonight is where Greenwood shows that Mbappe isn't the only future Balon d'Or winner on the pitch tonight. let's hope, and we can, that is what Ole has restored more than anything else. We know we are up against a seemingly impossible task, but with Ole there at least seems to be some hope that we can beat the odds.

Rest the players at Arsenal and focus on the champions league!

I can see both sides of this debate.
I would like to see us start as strong as possible if the game is beyond us with 30 mins to go then he can rest a few or at least remove them from harms way.
Its a long shot but nothing is impossible.

Im excited to see how some of the younger players perform at this level. Hopefully they take their chances and start challenging for places it is always difficult to predict how they will make the step up from reserve level.

Stand keep posting, I agreed with your post but I'm delighted to have been proved wrong, as Ken says I can see both sides.
