Lee Grant quoted today saying there's a great atmosphere and Jose is very encouraging. Ed02 mentioned a few times ignore Jose in front of the media its all done with a purpose, paper trying to stir it again.

You don’t throw your players under the bus in front of the media, even if it’s just for show.

Bilko who has José thrown under the bus!

He said it was totally understandable and right for Martial to go back home to see the birth of his child. Just disappointing that he didn’t return back to the tour afterwards.

He said that Valencia had too much holiday but when LVG said the same about Shaw I didn’t here people saying that he threw him under the bus just that it was unprofessional by the player.

He states that he is not happy because he plays these pre-season games without most of his first team squad and that a lot of U23 and youth players are making up the numbers who won’t figure in the season. So he is not happy with the preparation.

I am no Mourinho fan and he is outspoken but it’s not right to make statements of throwing his players under the bus when that is not entirely true.
He is in a position where he is damned with what he says and damned if he says nothing.

He is right about Martial, whole summer off quite rightly went home for the birth of his kid, why couldn't he come back for the rest of the tour and help not only the team but his own fitness? The kid has a bad attitude.

Suprised he thought Valencia was overweight. the bloke posted endless fotos of himself training on his holiday and is built like a boxer. seems very professional as well. that's the 2 sides of JM I guess.

if your wife had just given birth would you honestly just be there for the birth and a couple days while shes still recovering? most people would take a week or so paternity leave to be there for her, wouldn't they? its not even like a normal situation where he can go home after work and support her, he would be on the other side of the world.

Praises lads for cutting their holidays a few days short as if they’re war heroes, slags off a young lad for wanting to be at the birth of his child on the other side of the world and spend some time with his family .
He wants Martial out which is fair enough, it’s his choice , but he wants to come out of the situation looking good so it’s eaaier if he turns the fans against the player.
It’s standard Jose, he’s a total politician .

Hoggy,

He could say all those things to the players in private if that’s how he feels, not say it about them at a press conference . How many times did you see Fergie do that?

Maybe martial is trying hard on this kid after walking out on his other 2.

I would expect him back after a few days, like the 3 players who did the same in the world cup.

Bit late for the lad to be aiming for father of they year.

Footballers don't have normal lives - he is on 90k a week plus his sponsorship deals, he can't fly in family from around the globe to be with the Mrs, he can't fly in a nanny or two while he is gone for 7-8days? . FFS.

I doubt anyone in the armed forces is getting a week or 2 off on paternity leave.

JM is a real tw3t sometimes but Martial has hardly come out of it very well.

To me it looks like Jose is trying to work his ticket out of United.
