The longest lunar eclipse must have affected my mind. And on that note, a hint of optimsm about our team.
Defence, we have sold Blind and in process of getting rid of Darmian and Rojo. We've replaced them with a very promising young right back in Dalot and an hopefully an England centre back in McGuire, who no matter what you think, is much better than Smalling, Jones and lindleof.
Midfield, we have bought a fantastic player in Fred, who together with Matic and Pogba, will form one of the best midfields in PL and in Europe. Fred will allow Pogba to flourish and will add energy to our midfield.
Attack, it is in attack where United can make the biggest transfer statement of all. A signing that will transform our team from top 4 to title favourites and even CL contenders. A signing that will give us the right wing balance we've been searching for and give us the best attack in the world by far. That of course will be Mbappe. The boy is young, but is built like an ox. He showed in the WC that he has the marurity to take on defenders with pace and skill beyond his young years. An attack of Sanchez, Lukaku and Mbappe will give the manager, the players, the fans and the club the belief that we can compete right at the very top.
Of course, it will come at the expense of selling Martial. But Martial wants to go anyway.
It'll bring the owners merchansise earnings beyond their dreams, and in five years time, Madrid will pay double for him.
We are the biggest club financially, wouldn't it be a dream come true if we can pull off the final piece in the jigsaw. FFP permitting of course.
I know its a long distant dream and maybe impossible, but we have never been shy of breaking transfer records, Law, Robson, Keane, Ferdinand, Ronaldo, Pogba, Lukaku have all broken records. So dreams can come true when you support our club. Please Woodward and Agent P, make it happen.
It might even put a small smile on Mourinho's face, but it will definitively wipe off the smiles from the scousers, City, Spurs and Chelsea.

We may not buy Mbappe, but AAA’s sentiments are in the right place. Do we see ourselves as an elite club any more or not? It seems we are shopping in Sainsbury’s instead of Harrods these days, the true statement of intent would be Mbappe yet you get the feeling it will be Willian at too high a cost. When Accountants run the show it is to be expected.

Willian is a good player but he isn’t inspiring me to think he would make that difference to bridge the gap to City. Title winners have special players who consistently perform, Hazard, De Bruyne, Ronaldo and list a number of our own former players as examples. The theatre of dreams needs to become that theatre again and we need a special talent to light it up.
