This is the first time I actually enjoyed DDG conceding goals. I would take This Ronaldo without a second thought. even at 34 he has 2-3 years left in him. take a bow United legend.

With the exception of 2 set plays and a shot that ddg saves 99 times out of a 100 how good do people think Ronaldo played .

He isn't the same player but give him a chance and he scores. In big games he can still put them away.

he would not last half a season now in the prem.

Arguing with the boy. He wants him back, and thinks he could still do it. I think his legs have gone. International pace suits him alright, but as Daz, says, wouldn't last long in the Premiership.

But then what do I know, the boy made him his captain in the fantasy football. I dropped Golovin at the last minute.

Ronaldo off course isn’t the player he was when he won the balon d’or with us. But he’s ruthless, he’s no longer a winger, he’s and out and out striker for me. He still has pace, his ability to get off the ground is incredible, and he wins big games by himself with his goals. Build a team to play to him and he will still get 40 plus a season for the next 3-5 years. He is a physical freak.

Totally agree Coalan. Stevie, listen to your son!
Ronaldo can play at a high level for at least another 2 years. He's looked after himself better than most 22 year old players. Dare i mention Shaw, jones, rooney, Anderson who seem to have lived at McDonalds, yet no one said they couldn't last in the PL. Yet Ronaldo is 34 but extremely fit and everyone is writing him off.
Most importantly, can you imagine how much the players around him will learn from him. Not only skilfully, but mentally and desire to win and experience. I think Rashford, pogba and Martial if he stays, will benefit a lot.

I'm not for Ronaldo coming back, he would be ineffective. Last night he surprised me, forget his goals, (pen and freekick you can still score at 50) and the fluke was just that as DDG messed up and it was a poor effort. Fair play to him, but that could easily have been any other player scoring them goals.

However he did well for me last night, linked well, was very unselfish, worked harder than usual and I was impressed with his brain. That said, would only look good for a team like City in the Prem and he isn't good enough for them anymore. He needs to be the focal point and yesterday was rare in that he actually played well. He is a goal machine, but that's because he plays for Madrid now and is surrounded by players giving him the ball relentlessly, doubt he'd hit double figures if we signed him to be honest.

Spain for one more year then US is sensible.

{Ed025's Note - me thinks you speak with forked tongue mate..

Beast,

I think he would hit double figures before October. How anyone can say he wouldn’t do it in the premier league anymore is beyond me, he just scored in pretty much every game of the CL this season, won it then scored a hat trick in the first game of the World Cup, the guy is still unstoppable. If you genuinely think ‘anyone’ could have scored that free kick without making De Gea dive you are crazy.

I am not for buying him as I don’t think we would get as long out of him as the price Madrid would demand, but the guy has proved time and time again how he can still do it and how ruthless he is, he would have a field day for at least 2 seasons in the prem for me, that just isn’t long enough at the price.

{Ed025's Note - best player on the planet for me GDS,..

What am I reading above?

"How good did he actually play"?
"Would not last half a season in the prem"
"International pace suits him"
"He would be ineffective, wouldn't hit double figures, not good enough for city"

I'd put my house on it, if Ronaldo was to spend one season with us next year he would score 30+ easy. He is a phenom, on a different planet IMO.

In agreement with GDS, I'm not all for buying him because he'd be incredibly costly and we'd have to sacrifice other positions that are needed. But if he did come back tomorrow, he'd have no problems at all. How it is questioned given his incredible record is beyond me.

I’ve not seen many 50 year olds hit a free kick like that tbf.

{Ed001's Note - just wait until today when ken shows Ronnie how it is done and you will see a 50 year old do it...}

He is still head and shoulders above any single player we have in our squad. No brainer if he wants to come for 2-3
Years. Yes please.

Ed. I can only hope that Beast was speaking with forked tongue. Otherwise, i would have to say he's been taking illegal substance washed down with a lot of alcohol.
Ronaldo will score 30 goals for United if he's to come back.
And he'll teach martial and pogba what real desire means.

{Ed025's Note - i agree mate..
