Gareth bale. wow. Now that is the player that we all know he can be. I honestly thought the guy was finished and that injuries had taken its toll. Although we don’t know Whether he is over his injuries, there is no doubt he is one of the finest players in the world when he is in imperious form as he was tonight.

I asked myself the question as to whether I would take him at united. I’ve got to say before the final it was a resounding no for me. I know this might seem a tad bit like match of the day fever but I would take him in a heart beat. We are lacking in the right wing department and there are very few that are as direct and devastatingly fast than bale. I like Willian but I would pick bale everyday of the week, provided he can keep fit. Always felt he was made to play for us and would be a joy to see him take the no 10 shirt.

I’m not going to lie I am delighted that Liverpool did not win. However my heart does go out to salah. Rivalry aside, he has been sensational this year and appears to be a consummate professional. Above all, he seems to be a thoroughly lovely person and his humility is refreshing to see in an age of spoilt overpaid players. I will be honest if he didn’t get injured I think the scousers would have won. They had real on the rack and credit where it is due Klopp had them playing well. Guess they have Karius to thank 😂.

Hope Jose sits up and notices that we have a lot of hard work and changes to be made regarding tactics. We are being linked with the right sorts of players and that is good to see as in the past we have signed players that will sell shirts instead of score goals. Let’s get united playing the attractive brand of football that made us so loved by many around the world. Let’s get behind the team because for the first time in years we are playing in the champions league for consecutive years and are close to challenging for the league. Can’t wait till next season.

He’s says he’s been fit all years other than 5 or 6 weeks and it sounds like he wants to leave. If the money was right I would take him, he isn’t Messi or Ronaldo but he’s in that next group.

Don't get me wrong, I like Bale as a player. His first goal was out of this world. l, his second was speculative and should never have gone in.

But bar those goals did he have a huge impact on the game? He didn't look as quick as he used to, that break away where he could have sealed his hat trick he was caught. The Bale of three years ago would never have been caught.

He has been in good form Tony from what I have seen the last few weeks in the La Liga. I thought he was really unlucky not to start and think Zidane made a mistake in not doing so. I would agree he is definetly in that best of the rest category after Messi and Ronaldo.

Got to disagree shaps thought he had a huge impact on the game. Real lacked an outlet and someone to carry the ball forward at pace when he was on the bench. Ronaldo hardly does it anymore and the midfield are all great on the ball but there was nobody to pick it up and dribble. Thought bale looked really dynamic and direct much like his old self. Perhaps he has lost a yard or too but he is still blisteringly quick. As always injuries are a concern but that is something the medical staff will have to deal with if it happens.
