Anybody else think that signing Anautovic from West Ham makes sense?

Dont get me wrong, he is by no way my first choice for the right wing, but he is quick, powerful, has a good touch and can cover as a striker if Lukaku is suspended or injured. More importantly he can cross a ball as well.

I like mata as a person and as a number 10, but I hate him on the right side of midfield. He is being set up to fail. He is not quick enough and is too easily beaten in the physical battles.

For me Anautovic makes sense in terms of improving the squad balance.

I would take Anautovic over Manzukic any day of the week.

If u want a striker maybe go for someone like djeko. I don't think he would be that expemsive if we can't get hold of Lewandowksi.

Honestly have never seen arnautovic play right wing. Always seems to play on the left or in the middle just like sanchez martial and rashford.

Singh I get what you are saying, but if you don’t have anybody who can cross a ball then having Dzeko is pointless.

I am looking at it from an evolution of the squad perspective rather than revolution perspective. Arnautovic offers cover for a season or two until Chong is ready to step up. Arnautovic and peirrera can rotate on the right.

I would like a Leon bailey on the right, but we clearly have a budget for this summer and I am looking at who can see us move forward and give us scope to buy a lb, a rb a cab and the two MF we need. We are not going to spend £500m, so let’s be realistic.

With McKenna coming to the first team, surely we will bring 2 players on from the under 18s.
Another player that looks good is Greenwood though he is only 16 or 17 is supposed to be the best young player around the academy.

I hope you are right Leahy. I really want the club to get back to the days of bringing through the youth, going out and buying the players we have not heard of, the schmeichels, the solskjaers, the Evras, the vidic’s, the ronaldo’s and Then addeding the super star, I. e. the Rooney, the Rio, the tevez.

It was the unpolished gems I did not know about that got me excited. This galactico ethos leaves me a little cold.

I would love a de litt from Ajax, or a max phillipe for lb, or a Kai havertz for Mf or a andraj zivkovic for the wing. A tuanze.

A Tuanzabe a TFM and a peirrera in the first team, and so what if they are not great and need to grow. Dave the save was not world class at first and look how that’s worked out.

Greenwood is supposed to be exceptional, I think it’s him who can take corners and penalties with either foot. Has to get the mental side right.

Short term strikers, would Vardy be an option perhaps?

I often think what age is too young,
Surely at 18 your a man and should be bought in and around the first team, a lot of people say that's too young.
But look at what Hansen said you win nothing with kids.
Then look at Ryan giggs at 17 running through experienced players like they weren't there.
Have to give them a chance to see how they will cope.

Leahy you need a long term not short term plan to get the kids in the team .
At the moment 1 bad half and they are straight out .
If you read above people would rather have a 30 year back up striker than give rash more opportunities to progress.

What's the issue with Arnautovics personality? Only seen him when we've played against Stoke or West Spam or on the highlights. Always looked to have something. Looked to be too good for Stoke and that he should be at a level above them.

Would rather give rash and martial a chance than buy arnautovic. Very short termism if that is an option. I really like Mandzukic think he is a very good player. But again would rather see the youngsters developed.

Redman great shout on Vardy. I really like him and he has the tenacity and desire Jose expects of his players. Good goal scorer as well with 20 premier league goals this year.

If mourinho signs arnautovic then he should be sacked the minute the signing takes place. Arnautovic is lazy, gives the ball away a lot, also capable of some brilliant stuff from time to time but very inconsistent, now remind me if we do not already have a young player who fits the description, and incidentally from what minutes he gets, we can all assume jose isn't much of a fan of that.

Agree with you about Arnautovic CS Moyes. He is very inconsistent and the more he gives the ball away, which is a lot, the more wound up he gets and starts blaming everybody else.
He also strikes me as someone who might be a bit of a negative voice in the dressing room. I don't think we need that at the moment.
To be honest, I don't see any truth in the rumour or Mandzukic really. Seems a bit bizarre to me.

Big fan of Arnautovic but hadn’t considered him a Utd player.
Dzeko too. He’d be a great option for Spurs in the event of a Kane injury.

He does remind me of Ibra. We all said we wish we had Ibra 10 years earlier so why not . The wig is going and he does tick the plan b box . Martial I'm afraid will be used to land another player from Spurs I think so we need another striker. 😆😆.

All of us are always looking for that world class striker when we won the treble I wouldn’t of classed any of our strikers as world class sometimes things just work.
