Merry Christmas to all eds and posters. Hope you all had a good one.
Reports circling today is that we've offered fellaini a mouth watering £150k a week but he's turned it down requesting £170k.
I think £150k is a ludicrous amount for someone with limited talents and movement of a tank. But if we are stupid enough to give it to him and he stupid enough to turn it down, then that shows our plight.
It is really worrying to think how much is being wasted on keeping fellaini blind Darmian zlatan Shaw Rojo mkhytarian.

Agreed. He should be bounced out the door. Wasting that kind of money on a rotation option stops us putting that money towards someone who would genuinely advance the team. And the others you mentioned should follow him out as well.

150k on a player the manager wants .

So should we back the manager or not?

Post all down the page we don't spend enough, now the same people moaning we spend to much?

Not going to be a popular view but since he has been out we have dipped. he changed quite a few games for us in our good run by coming in or starting and we looked a lot more in control of midfield.

I would sign him to a new contract as he gives us a different lever when needed to pull. I agree with Jose if that is the real case and he wants him to stay.

It's called negotiations, fellas. Anybody else in the private sector always accept the first offer they're given? The lad has as much right to better himself as any other player, especially with it probably being his last big contract, And it's not as if we can question his efforts and attitude when he's been on the pitch. Unlike some of the supporters attitudes with regard to him.

Having been in the private sector yes. I had 2 pay raises in the last 6 years where I previously worked. And the last one was whilst undergoing redundancy 4 months before I left. People at the bottom of the private sector don't get the option of accepting the first offer. Only the fat cats do.

Is that not what professional footballers are now, tho?

It's whether fellaini is worth £170k a week. Not even if Kane is on this kind of money. Which shows how disorganised we are when it comes to negotiations.
In my opinion, fellaini is an average player and is worth average wages, not £170k a week.
Private sector have to find the money to pay staff, it doesn't grow on trees.
