Before the doom mongers get on here, I wanted to say a few things.

Man City were always going to have more of the ball today as they will against pretty much any team in football at the moment. However, despite that, they didn't really create a whole lot from open play today. De Gea made a couple of good saves but nothing that he wouldn't routinely do.

We also didn't create much and still could have come away with a draw but for a wonder double save.

Both goals we conceded were poor set piece goals which is not acceptable.

City were better and deserved the win I think, but Jose set up in a way we knew he would and but for two pieces of awful defending from Lukaku we could have nicked this.

SHORT VERSION: It's not all that bad but City are a bit good.

Get real 12 days. We were truly woeful. i'm sorry to say we will never win the league again with Mourinho in charge. If anybody actually thinks lukaku is fit to wear the red shirt is deluded, I’d rather have Gary birtles upfront than that useless lump.

25% possession at home is pathetic whichever way you want to cover it up. You need the ball to score. So unless we can improve on our possession, we're not going to win anything.

Doom monger here.

We did limit the chances City had because we put 99.9% of our focus on doing that. They still had several more chances as well, granted Lukaku missed a sitter, but our goal came out of nowhere. There keeper literally could have been on a deck chair all game (Lukaku would still have hit his face) .

Every Utd fan worth their salt wanted us to take the game to City today, make them defend. When we did attack they looked harried and clumsy but that was only a couple of times. Lost count how many times the ball drifted over of off Lukaku's head back into City's possession.

I'd rather have gone down trying to beat them, than keeping the score close and still getting beat. Walker got booked after a few minutes, how many times did we overlap or apply pressure on him? It was just poor, park the bus and hope for a bit of luck. Well we got that luck with the first goal, but we got exactly what we deserved the other end, because no team with our pedigree should play at home against their rivals with the chief focus not to get beat. We needed 3 points more than they did today, nothings ever going to change whilst we have Jose's negative tactics and teams exist like City that play to win and entertain at the same time.

We shouldn't rely on luck.
