'I hope that you enjoy the game more than some of you did against Tottenham" Jose

Is he looking for an argument with the fans? That's a few digs now.

Kinda don’t blame him, no matter what he does, says, doesn’t do, he gets stick from his own, let the man do his job which he is doing successfully and enjoy the ride, cavalier football or not, the mans job is to be results.

People booed huim when he took Rashford off and then his replacement scored the winner so he is being smug. I am sure the fans have stronger backbones than to take offence, it is tongue in cheek.

Is there really an issue tho or is he looking for 1 .
Where has that comment come from, who didn't enjoy the game against spurs .

Thr mamager getting booed for a decision he made that left us with 3 points against a title rival - i'm with jose on this one.

But its definitely tongue in cheek as well. Just let i'm do his job.

he's planting a seed for an exit.

Is this not typical Jose? It's all about him and his ego and if he feels aggrieved he will say so. His comments are unnecessary and picking a fight with your fans seems plain dumb, is is about the 4th time albeit the Fellaini comments he made were spot on.

I think fans tend to get on the back of a manager or player for the slightest thing these days .

But I'm not really sure there was a real issue here, who wasn't happy with the win at the weekend .
Good positive result that is starting to be dragged down a bit.

I agree with ajh why carry on with these comments after what was a very good result, it's unnecessary and just causes a bit of friction.

It's the main topic on this page and the rumour page and no doubt up and down the country .
Which coming of the back of a good win against spurs seems a bit counter productive .
I'm really not sure it was an issue until Jose started to make it one.

Jred, maybe a bit of both, he does tend to make expamples out of things, like Tony says typical him, poss planting seeds if he needs to sow them later on aswell. I enjoyed the game, was like a war of attrition.

You brought it up on this page, I knew nothing of the comment until you told us what it was, perhaps fans getting on their high horse and making a big deal of it is also the issue?

Totally agree, jred. I came away from the game thinking it was a very good result, and a decent performance, against a very good Spurs side. I really don't believe anyone was booing Lukaku, and I can't see why José has made an issue of it. No-one I know has any doubts that he's a very good striker, who just isn't receiving the right service of late.

I brought it up? Jose has put it in his programme notes it's been picked up by most websites and news out let's.
The post on the rumours page also have nothing to do with me .

Honestly don't see what the point of some of the remarks are especially after a good win against spurs .
The shhh to the camera comments on rash on lukaku this today, what good does it do .

Typical Jose isn't it? The guy could start a fight in an empty room.

Just one of those things you have to accept when Jose is your manager. It's part of him and his mantra.

It was one of the three reasons I gave for why I wasn't sold on the idea of having Jose as our manager.

He breeds controversy.

His tactics can be negative when playing certain teams.

He doesn't seem to trust young players or plan for the future.

How many of those have been proven right already? I like Jose, I just never thought he was right for our club.

But we have him now, so we need to back him.

Classic Jose, there's always a method to his madness. Whether it be to get a pay rise, get the players he wants January or planting a seed to leave, who knows, perhaps a combination of all three. If he doesn't get A and B, then it's C.

All of this stems from the Liverpool game in regards to fans unhappy. Many fans were disheartened with how we set out to play against Liverpool. Myself included. But we must move on and back the manager. We are in good shape, get our injured players back and we are good to go.

Most of the people on here were vehemently against booing our manager, our players in the last couple of seasons but when Jose makes a point following booing at OT for whatever reason that principled position seems to be lost.

Who wants a PC manager?! It’s character enjoy the banter some fans and pundits get on his back does he not have a right to say something back.

Red Man, I can't think of a time or occasion when booing your own players or staff is ever acceptable. I'm still to be convinced there was any actual booing, as opposed to some groans at the decision to take off Rashford. Was it really worth bringing a fairly nonexistent issue up, on the back of a very good win?

Is there anyone who visits these pages who thinks that Jose is a good fit for Man Utd and wants him as our manager?

Don't forget how toxic we supposedly are so I'm sure we can use our displeasure to curtail his time at the club; eh Ed002?

Stevie

Depends on how it has affected the players. On Saturday the crowd seemed quiet, it didn’t sound like they were behind the players until we scored. So many times I have been there when the crowd made the difference, they need to again. I wasn’t there but it sounded like groans when Lukaku didn’t go after a ball and boos when Rashford was subbed.
