Is it me or is Pogba and Lukaku starting to look cheap now? I mean if Everton had waited and Pogba went this summer. How much would they have been sold for?

Very much so Syd, when you see Dembele go for near £100m, Neymar £198m which is ridiculous, £138m for Coutinho, What you see bandied about for VvD, just average players for high fees etc. £75m rising to £90m for a Prem proven striker seems pretty good to me.

We should not not lose sight of how utterly ridiculous all these fees are. The cost of tickets, shirts, hotdogs, tv subscriptions etc etc all go up to generate money to pay inflated fees. The ordinary fan loses out.

Dodgy, have ticket costs risen much in the last 5 years? If the hotdogs are too expensive, don't buy them! They're full of crap anyway. Or purchase them from one of the independent vendors on the way to the ground. Yes, the cost of TV subscriptions have risen and been made more complex, but it's still a lot cheaper than going to the games - and at least you can watch. Once upon a time there were no live games on tele! You don't have to buy the shirts either.

The increase in revenues driving the higher transfer fees is predominately made up from global expansion and has not affected the domestic fan going to games that much.

My initial reaction to the Neymar deal was that it was insanity; but when you consider that City spent £50m on a mediocre player like Walker a little earlier in the window it doesn't seem all that bad. Even ignoring the marketing potential an elite player like Neymar carries with him, I'd sooner have one Neymar than four Kyle Walkers on the pitch any day of the week.

I'm sorry but 90 million for pogba I'd say neymar was a steal at just over double that, Ines world class and changes games on his own, the other is a work in progress who was absent for a lot of last year. But the fact doesn't change these price tags are mental, but it's not our money so why worry?

Good of you to say pogs world class. Bit harsh on neymar mind.
