Chris,

That gave me a chuckle, great to see the positivity on here at the moment. Shame the live chat isn't like that until we are winning but I guess emotions run high during the game and people say silly things they don't mean.

I thought live chat was good yesterday and no drama. Most of us wanted that second goal as we looked a bit shaky defending crosses.

We seem to have a debate on rash every game with people wanting more from him. I think if shaw gets back and provides him that speed and width, it will make him look better as he clearly does not go wide enough for my liking and come in too much and bit predictable. Blind has been solid but he does not have shaw pace to be bombing down the channel and not getting exposed on the counter and in a way stays put on many occasions.

If jose wanted rash to hug the touch line I think he would play him on the right.
I think he is playing on the left so he can cut inside.

Or maybe Rashford is faithful to his own touch line and does not want to go hugging other people's touch lines.

It's not where he plays or what he does, it's more like he just puts his head down and runs without actually knowing what to do next. He and Martial are playing the same game but with Martial you actually have composure and the end product. It's no surprise United have looked far more threatening and have been able to carve open 2 defences easily when Martial has come on.

Shan,

We get it, you don't like Rashford. Fairly sure he 'carved apart' West Ham for the first goal last week with a great run and defence splitting pass. Martial coming on when the opposition are tired and chasing the game is always going to have more space so to judge the 2 solely based on two games where they both played different parts is at best naive and at worst a deliberate way to have a go at Rashford.

In my opinion Rashford has been brilliant so far this season other than his composure on the chance yesterday. None of the defenders he has played against so far have been able to cope with him. He's 19 and can improve a few things in his game (even his finishing csm 😂) but I'm sure Jose is happy with his contribution so far and so am I.

I think rash has been excellent so far, looked a handful and scares teams.

I am sorry GDS but if that's what you think than fine. Yes I don't have the romance with Rashford because he is a local lad. I really wouldn't have given a crows rubbish if he were from Bhutan. I am calling what I am seeing. Rashford keeps getting chances and he keeps missing those. For me that's simply not good enough. And add to the fact that people think he is a striker. That's already 4 open chances in 3 games this season including the Super Cup and he has 0 goals. That tells me what I want to know. I follow the club and not the player. So if you think I am having a go at Rashford is unjustified, I am more than happy to be proven wrong by the player rather than a bunch of keyboard warriors having blind faith in him. I will keep my humble pie ready. It's a world of cut throat competition. If you don't grab what you have in front of you, someone else will crush you and take it right there. Hope Rashford doesn't get crushed. Else you see Welbeck.

Shan he's a 19 yr old boy lol. U expect him to be the finished article already?

Personally I would play Martial next week but rash needs time.

I was really impressed with Rashford's passing in tight areas yesterday. It was crisp and tight and 6 months ago he'd have been giving it away a lot more in those situations. Yes, he missed a good opportunity yesterday, but I'm hoping that he just needs to get off the mark to get his finishing going. He's only 19 and since coming through, I think he has added a lot more to his game than just running at defenders, he's a much better member of the team now.

How disheartening must it be be for opposition right backs? Having Marcus run them ragged and soften them up for 70 minutes, thinking they're going to get a breather, then look to the bench, and seeing Martial getting ready to come on. Love it.

Sham, fair enough, but you are like a broken record when it comes to Rashford.

True that AJH. I am like a broken record. But then so is Rashford when it comes to scoring a goal after that mesmerising run.

Rashford needs to just gain a bit of composure in front of goal and that chance he had yesterday where he tried to flick it over the keeper showed good invention yet he couldn't execute it

The flick around the full back first half around the halfway line was a sublime piece of skill, his pace is frightening and good dribbling skills, he just needs that composure but there is a very good attacker there -wouldnt mind seeing him rough up a few defenders as he got roughed up yesterday at times himself.

Martial is the better finisher at the moment, I'd love to see them both start, that pace on the flanks would be something else, but as someone said, either off them coming off the bench for the last 20 mins must just kill the oppositions defense, and its an ace we have up our sleeve and Joses plays it well.
