Are both Rojo and Shaw both to miss the start of the season? Does this mean an incoming left back as I've read on here Aaron Martin will replace Shaw if a deal can be done or will we start the season with Blind as left back?

If you have read it on here then what more do you want as an answer? Ed002 has told us we are after Aaron Martin and that Danny Rose may be an alternative.

I agree with Schmid on this one he's far too lazy to ever make it which is a shame I was convinced we had a LB sorted for a good few yrs.

I checked Aaron Martins out on YouTube he looks good looks like he's got a fantastic cross on him.

I know YouTube isn't the best to judge but we are all guilty of it.

I think Mourinho really rates Darmian in the LB spot. Especially after the job he did on Pedro vs Chelsea.

I asked if Shaw and Rojo was to miss the start of the season Gds2 so obvs wanted that answered and I was merely throwing out possible suggestions as to what could happen at left back, I know what Ed said it is why I said it in my post lol.
Cheers for the rest of your replies tho, shame I was hoping Shaw would have a good pre season and be the player we all thought he could be and start the season well.

Not convinced on Darmian even with the pedro aspect

Rojo did a job on Costa but dorsnt make him a decent CB.

Depends on your definition of decentof course but for me he is more than decent as a cb. Close to criminal at lb though.

Rojo played well alongside Bailey until his injury, and is by far our second best CB at present.

Shaw has so much potential that I wouldn't write him off, but he needs to get his head down and work his way back into the squad when he returns from injury. He seemed to be responding to Jose's criticism before his injury, so next season is make or break.

I'd love Danny Rose here. Can't see it. Mendy would be my preference tho. His delivery is top class.
