I think with Shaw being out so long and with a serious injury he has to make the call on if he can play, I can imagine he wouldn't want another injury that forces him out a few months and by the way he's been playing I would say he's still not fully over his previous injury.
I understand you want your team to go through walls for the manager and the fans but this sort of comment should be kept internal I don't think Jose has gained anything from making it so public.

Jose may have been right in what he said but being the prick he is he has to do it in front of the media instead of behind closed doors. It's exactly because of this behaviour the Chelsea players didn't want to play for him anymore which led to him being sacked.

I don't think it is much different than what Klopp said to Sturridge. There is definitely a new breed of footballer now for who football and the team don't come first. Two sides to every tale.
