Further down the page Shappy posted a long analysis of why Pogba is struggling and how to fix it. I don't agree with all of it and I said before we signed Pogba that he wasn't what we were missing in midfield and he relied too heavily on the others around him to play well. I still hope he proves me wrong BTW, the season is still young.

My question is do you think we would have been better, if we were playing 433 to buy a deep lying playmaker and play Schneiderlin box to box and Herrera in the "Pogba" role?

I think Verratti, Schneiderlin and Herrera would offer more than any midfield we have put out this season. I don't think Carrick has 40+ games a season in him

P. s I'm not saying Herrera is better or has more potential than Pogba I just think overall it would have given us a more balanced midfield with players being played where they are most effective.

Possibly, but then I feel Verratti is the best midfielder in the world in his position.

But then Verratti wasn't available, and with PSG's finances no amount of money could force their hand if they didn't want to sell.

There is no point in saying what if we signed someone else or would we have signed Pogba because we have. A few weeks ago we were all over the moon and we were in disbelief with who we had just signed. I think Pogba is a very good player who feels the need to prove himself. His price tag was over inflated and it, in my opinion, is weighing on his mind and every time he hits the ball over the bar it will weigh heavier. What he needs is a game where he scores and has a really impacting contribution and the sooner it comes the better.

You can tell by the way he walks around players he is special, it is just getting him going and finding his best role.

Pogba was signed as Rooneys replacement 😆😆.
