Anyone see that interview with the Irish Liverpool fan outside Anfield when asked about the ticket price increases? Brilliant. James Milner for £77? Are you mad?

Whilst that lot are the enemy, I applaud them for the walk out. We still hold the cards if only we realised it especially in this era of TV money. Imagine the reaction of the companies that bankroll football. The advertisers. if the games were played in front of empty stadiums? They'd soon get a grip of the premier league and realign their chakras for them. They don't want their precious brands accosiated with a stadium full of tumble weed and no atmosphere. Advertising suicide. A case in point would be if for example Sunderland drew Middlesbrough in the FACup semifinal. The fans would have to schlep to Wembley when there's a perfectly adequate stadium at Newcastle. All because of money and greed to pay for the white elephant that is the national stadium. But such teams don't often get to Wembley so that's the sentiment the cynical suits play on to justify such greed. So let's applaud the scousers for growing a pair and next time we're at Wembley for a semi, stay at home and see what a spectacle with one end empty will look on TV.
