So the high cost of Maguire, is now effecting the fernandes deal. Still expecting this to go through, but unless we sell Lukaku and Pogba can't see more signings. I would expect one to go at least and think we have players identified depending on who is sold.

Stop believing everything you read. I assume you got this nonsense off Twitter.

I agree that you need to take everything written in the press with a huge pinch of salt.

Yet, it's not a ridiculous story or one that is that far fetched. Whatever we think we know about the club's finances it is clear that the club don't have an infinite pot of money. There will be a budget of sorts, and overspending in one area will need to be made back by saving money somewhere else.

So if the “reports” are to believed we started the window with a transfer budget ranging from 200-250m depending who you read. Plus monies from the sale of Pogba and Lukaku

IF they are sold.
That money is not guaranteed to go straight to the transfer budget, we all know that.

So far 15m for James’s, 45m for AWB and 60m for Maguire (before any add ons) Total 120m
That leaves a hefty 80-130m without any money from the sale of Pogba or Lukaku.

We don’t look stretched to me.

IF the ‘reports’ are based on any real facts. Likely they are not. Again just click bait to suck us all in.

But as we have been told by Ed’s before. Forget about the money, to you and me it’s irrelevant.

Well mike, if that‘s how you want to calculate you need Tto deduct any add-ins we might owe from former business maybe we were woeful enough not to owe any add-one, but I doubt your calculation is correct.

And the way I understand Ed002 the issue is not transfer fee but paying the wages needed and stay within FFP.
So we might need to sell before adding another player to the squad.
