With Jose talking about players not showing consistency, does anyone think we may be about to see wholesale changes against bournemouth? Shaw might get a game. I'm seems with his comments about some players already not being considered for the spurs game that he's maybe ready to get rid of a few? I for one would love to see a couple of the younger lads included on Wednesday. After all he said a spectacular performance would keep a player in the team.

Do we think he's challenging the likes of pogba and Sanchez to prove they want to play in the big game to get more from them, or could we actually be surprised and see some of the younger lads? I know what option I'd go with.

I think it’s really interesting. The club needs to decide to back the current manager again or change manager. Unless there is a change of manager I doubt you’ll see Shaw next season. If he gets a game it will be to place him in the shop window.

Personally, I think Mourinho has done a good job. 6th to 2nd is progress. That said I am not a fan of Mourinho’s approach as a manager. I think he develops his CV more than players.

I would seriously like to see a younger and explosive team for Bournemouth game. Give them a chance and see if they can handle the pressure. Forget the luxury of senior players except for key ones.
I’d rather the younger ones play attacking and pace than the slow overly careful game by some of the senior players. What’s to lose? At the worse we are still 2 point ahead of the scousers! The PL title is already lost so as long as we are in top 4 what the hell?
We need to identify which are the young players who can come into first team and what better opportunity to see how they perform? Maybe the senior players can learn a little from them?

I think the club is backing Jose and a third season will see what he can really do. We’re not blind, the current back four is nowhere near good enough to win a title, so full back and centre halves are a priority as is an improved midfield. Matic cannot play effectively every single week and I’d love to see Martial paired with Lukaku up top with Sanchez supporting.

Why would playing younger players make us more attacking? I think the managers tactics and instructions are as much the problem as anything.

Stand, I tend to think the younger players are more eager to impress and tend to be more fearless.

Personally I would be putting Gomes and Chong in the matchday squad, give them some starts. But I'm not manager.

It's very easy to say @give the young players a go' when you are a fan, if JM played a load of kids, United got beat and ended up dropping below Liverpool/ Tottenham you'd see a load of stick for him.

Steve I’m not so sure I agree. If anything it would show Jose buying into the clubs traditions and would save him with some fans imo. Plus the younger lads at the moment have some real ability.

Caolan, don't worry. Jose would have that fearlessness knocked out of them, double quick.

Yeah but Nou we might get a good 45 minutes out of them ;-)

Why so much negativity towards Jose?
The team has improved on last year, enough to overtake all the teams that were ahead of us except City and there is nothing we can do about that, all Jose can do is continue to improve United.
As for young players McTimony has been introduced into the first team squad, Rashford has 40+ appearances (yes about half as sub but he's still very young) .

LVG played loads of youngsters and we were terrible.
