You make very valid points as always ed002.i guess i just don't want to see united lose martial as i like him a lot as a player and he's still very young. i just think replacing him with perisic or bale is madness with bale so injury prone and perisic hasn't been great either.

Do you think mourinho will get it right at united? we still need at least 4/ 5 players. i'm not mourinho out or anything and will back him. i just think players like martial/ rashford and most of the squad would flourish under somebody like pochettino.
Uniteds style football is atrocious and going out to sevilla the way we did was terrible.

{Ed002's Note - The issues that existed when JM first went to Manchester United remain unchanged to this day. To recap what I originally said: He doesn't see MU as a progressive club that will adapt to what he thinks they need - and that is a point he won't stop making. He doesn't like being in Manchester (and that hasn't changed) and there are those there who still see a blue tinge surrounding him (and both still do as I understand matters). There was a major error in taking on Ibrahimovich - it was disruptive with the kids (one specific issue had to be overcome) and he wanted to move elsewhere. I am rather surprised he has not announced his leaving just yet but if he were to stay until the summer the chances of him playing are remote for two reasons we don't need to go in to. Mkhitaryan was a disaster waiting to happen - so that has been fixed. Pogba's career belongs in Spain or Italy - certainly not Manchester (and perhaps I am not the only one who realises that now).
As for getting it right, I don't see Manchester United as a club dominating under Mourinho as he was able to do with other sides. There is the added complezxity of Manchester City, and the likes of Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea are not far off being an issue for him. If he stays we will see.}

Is that down to the club ed002 that you don't see Jose dominating with united?

{Ed002's Note - Plus other clubs.}

So there still is a possibility of Jose not being heee past this summer. Would be an interesting summer window and i think the decision needa to be made before we make more signings.

What are the original issues you talk of Ed002. So long ago I don’t think I recall what they are?

{Ed002's Note - They are in the post.}

Thanks very much for that response ed002 i really appreciate that and it makes a lot of sense. sounds like pogba and mourinho won't be around a whole lot longer. even his comments in the press sound like a man that wants out.

Hi Ed002, thank you so much for giving us your precious time to provide us info-hungry fans snippets of news about our beloved club!
D
Thus - and apologies if you can’t help, or feel that it’s irrelevant - don’t suppose you might enlighten us about which managers might have been discussed by the non-plussed Man Utd hierarchy should JM decide to leave please.

(And also any credence to the rumours that Pogba has been linked with Barcelona - and if this might happen. )

Thank you for any additional info!

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any recent discussions about replacements for the coach. As for Pogba, it would be fair to say that Mino has spoken with two clubs as far as I am aware but it may be more - but not Barcelona that I know of and I don't see them as a potentially interested club.}

Ed are any teams showing an interest in pogba.

Ibra really was a strange signing.

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of anyone knocking on the door about Pogba at this time but Mino has spoken with two clubs as far as I am aware but it may be more. Any move would be difficult for a number of reasons.}

Thanks Ed. Top insight, very sensible and have to say I kind of agree with Mourinho on his assessment.

Ed002 you make the statement that Jose doesn't think ManU will adapt to what he thinks they need. What sort of things is he talking about?

{Ed002's Note - That they may not be willing to hand over the reins completely and give him their total support as they did with Ferguson and Arsenal have done with Wenger.}
