Hi ed001

Have you had any snippets of information regarding MU as you have different connections to 002, 002 suggested the sharkopod may no longer help.

Just wondering if you are hearing anything

Cheers.

{Ed001's Note - other than Aurier and the still possible signing of Bale (the main issue being persuading him to move to United as Madrid have decided they need to sacrifice him but he does not want to move), Jose still wants a left back that I know of. I was told an enquiry about Kurzawa was met with a 'not for sale' but Bertrand may be an option from Southampton.}

If we signed Aurier and Bertrand I would be over the moon.

Aurier, Bertrand and bale to finish up the window. I think this place would go into meltdown.

What's happening with liverpool ed001? Struggling for new signings?

{Ed001's Note - nope, got 3 and just wanted 2 more to complete the summer window but made a mess of things. It is just being made to seem like it is a crisis by the media desperate for a story and clickbait sites for clicks.}

Ed1 are City still interested in Bertrand after signing Mendy? It was mentioned he was keen to move to a CL team and prefered City?

Thanks.

{Ed001's Note - their interest has ended now apparently.}

I've been saying since the start of the summer we should go for Bertrand. A good proven PL left back to compete with Shaw, push him on a bit. I can't see it happening but would be very happy if it did. Lb is more a priority than RB so this is where we should be focusing. Bale isn't happening no point even thinking about it. Ed01 I think your well placed to challenge with what you have. I have you finishing second in AJH prediction comp. I just think with Mane, Salah, Coutinho (don't see you selling) , Firmino, Sturridge, Etc you will have to much for most teams. Can still see VVD arriving too.

Stand - No chance IMO, Chelsea and Liverpool will find it much tougher this season with European football added to their schedules. Chelsea have bought well and I think they'll challenge still. City will spend £300m and will of course be up there. Spurs will be very good having kept all their players and then there's Arsenal. If they can sign Lemar they will have a decent first team, they will also prioritise the EPL for majority of Europa so will have fresh legs. We are going to be much stronger. Lukaku will score close to 30 goals and the youngsters are getting better. Our midfield picks itself and our defence and keeper will concede very few goals. So unless Liverpool do something special in this window and keep hold of Coutinho. I think 5/ 6 for them. Even with VVD and Coutinho I think 4th at best.

Bale at 90 million is waste of money. the guy can't stay fit for 15 games a year and spends more time on the physic table and sidelines than he plays. he is 28 years old and some guys can play a long time but he is so injury prone he will not have a long career and end up being a bad purchase imo. I know i am probably in a small minority on this point but we buy a right back/ winger.

Sydney, with the team last season they didn't lose to any top 6 side I don't think. With salah added and Mane not in the ACON they will definatly challenge imo. I think they will concede goals again but they have a lot of firepower and undisaolined teams will struggle to contain. I'd happily wager with anyone they will finish in the top 4. Spurs haven't strengthened as of yet which I fin baffeling, still time tho. Chelsea I don't think will be as strong as last season. Lost Matic and Costs is off, who has been brilliant the last few years for them. City I think will win it.

The area would be city bottom an Liverpool 19th.

Think us an Chelsea top 2. Arsenal 3rd as they'll prioritise it and spurs or Everton for 4th.

Liverpool treat games against top sides as a cup final that's why. Small club mentality. Although they aren't a small club history and fanbase wise. Then they go and lose to mid-table sides. It's very easy going through a season playing one game a week. Very few injuries and able to pick the same players. This enabled Chelsea to win the league. With the same side a season before whilst juggling Europe they finished 10th. It is harder playing on all fronts. I think it's perfectly reasonable to think Liverpool will finish top four with VVD and retaining Coutinho for one more season, but I'm not convinced.

They do need to do more work in this window otherwise they will be left behind. But we will see and that's the beauty of the EPL. There are so many surprises. Twists and turns. I'll wait and see what the teams do up until the league kicks off then i'll make my predictions. But as it stands I'm thinking top four as City, Chelsea, United and Spurs.
